How about a wingless open wheel series of racing with similar power to weight as motogp?
Also, similar race length without tyre change or refuel - ragged edge missiles.
To me that would be nirvana.
that would include ground effect I assume, how long would the vehicle be do you think?coaster wrote:How about a wingless open wheel series of racing with similar power to weight as motogp?

Videos of pre-68 F1 seem pretty exciting to me.Websta wrote:Without the speed, the racing becomes a whole let less exciting. Overtaking at slow speeds are pretty ordinary
When was the last time you've seen overtaking in a fast corner in F1? (DRS passes don't count obviously)Websta wrote:Without the speed, the racing becomes a whole let less exciting. Overtaking at slow speeds are pretty ordinary

I meant more under braking than through corners. With no down force, the braking duels would be really slow. Some people might not mind that, but I love watching the cars dart out of the slip stream at the last minute and then pull 3-4G braking manoeuvres.Pandamasque wrote:Narain Karthikeyan is just as good as Fernando Alonso in a flat out corner.
