Isn't the DRS too long here ? I think it should have started after 300m+ after the turn 4 because the car following will already be in the slipstream following the car through the turn 4 . :|

The slipstream effect is greater than normal here too. Because it's a constant low lock corner, there's tyre scrub, and because the car ahead has more downforce due to clean air, they have more tyre scrub...

Its more like 250m after turn 4 and every 10 m makes the DRS effect count; so I think it is long enough to overtake the car on same tyres in same grip levels and degradation before braking into the hairpin turn 5 . :?

Derek Warwick stewart in Hockenheim =D> =D> =D>
I remember him on a Formula 2 race in Hockenheim beaching the car in the gravel of the Sachs curve in 1979..in a messy crappy race for him :

to be noted:project 4 racing one (now better known as the P4 in Mclarens car numbering system...Some Rad Dougal driving a Toleman Group campaigned Ralt - which was going to evolve into the team now known as Lotus....

Was there have witnessed it right there on the inside grandstands ...I know you got it terribly wrong there Derek and you had a dog of a car that day..

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I don't understand who was predicting that, as far as I was concerned, the weather forcasts were all for damp, drizly, and cool.

I live in Germany. It should be dry tomorrow and on sunday, but it shouldn't be that hot out there, maybe 20-25°C max.

Is it just me or are there more mistakes today than usual?

316 km/h speedtrap for MSC and 315 km/h for ROS. Not bad, MSC fastest car on the straight.

Not only does Bottas take away Senna's FP1 sessions but he crashes his car as well within a minute of the end.
