Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Hopefully this is a 3 stage update Valencia (even though it's basically a street circuit), Silverstone, and now Hockenheim and we'll see the ferrari faster and faster. With Massa finishing 4th that tells me the Chassis is getting better. So i'm hoping Alonso can pull out a win in Germany and I don't wish bad on anybody but I hope the Renault engine (which is being speculated) has a little trouble.

So what's that and why do the need easy access to it?
Looking at the position, it's to recharge nitrogen for the engine pneumatic valves.

Looks like that new FW is again here
Wasn't there one with a lot more, shall we say, "black scoops" on the endplates though? That's the one I remember being tested but not raced.

Old one has 3 slots in the endplate and they are bigger at the front. New one has 4 slots and those slots are smaller at the front and larger at rear

that is quite logical course of action for me. Other teams are trying that and no one is bothering, so they also feel that there might be some gain from that section

Toro Roso off throttle noise was loader than Ferrari in FP1.

I wonder if Ferrari gonna add the vortex generator fins on the top of the sidepods soon like Mclaren, Redbull or Lotus.

Is "picture 4" From this weekend? If so they have done some Major work on the rear end.
