they haven't been updating exterior for a quite time ... only downgrading I heard they'll run with no FW on next race =D>ReLax wrote:Okay guys, any new updates on the W03? Or are there only some suspicious new internal "Updates" which are bringing better "tyre management" ?
I believe both cars had it on them.elf341 wrote:Yes, Monkey seat has gone again...
Was that in FP2? I only watched FP1, and I haven't been able to find a pic from FP1 with it on, they both have it off.Morteza wrote: I believe both cars had it on them.
I missed FP1 as a matter of fact. So yes, the cars had monkey seat in FP2.elf341 wrote:Was that in FP2? I only watched FP1, and I haven't been able to find a pic from FP1 with it on, they both have it off.Morteza wrote: I believe both cars had it on them.

Actually, this have been the case since the regulations change in 2009 and that's why Newey said that high noses are the only way after that.n smikle wrote: Regulations this year reward having more rear downforce. This year's front wings have too much downforce believe it or not, they are actually unbalancing he car. Mecedez could afford to lose downforce on the front to gain better air conditioning for the middle and rear of the car.
Put the front wing low enough and it starts getting ground effect. Lowering front wings definitely gives more DF.yener wrote:Putting the front or rear wing lower doesnt give more downforce. Placing them higher does.
So how do the aerodynamicists help with understanding the tires? Brawn is being disingenuous if he says they've totally halted aero development.wunderkind wrote:As Brawn has said, the Mercedes-AMG guys are taking a step back in the development race and trying to understanding how to best utilise the tyres. There is no point putting all their resources into developing aero parts when they don't know how to get the most out of the tyres.
I don't know, but the two teams that seems to be utilising the Pirelli tyres the best at the moment, the Sauber and the Willliams, have had a history of producing understeering cars......................Just saying.
