Kimi's pace in the dry was looking superb on the hard compound... if he could have gotten to P7 before Webbers penalty that would have helped a lot for the race tomorrow.

Could maybe explain the "worrying" pace of Vettel/Schumi/Webber etc in the earlier quali sessions before the rain hit.
No, wouldn't make sense. Bone-dry weather is expected tomorrow.

Nico was 2nd quickest on the primes in q1, and, Brawn stated that Nico failed to get temperature into his inters in q2.

Hamilton's long run pace looked good this morning and he was very quick in Q1, but it's always impossible to know for sure. After another messed up qualifying it's going to be very tough for them, but you can overtake at this track. Maybe a podium is still possible, but you can be on Alonso being quick in the race. The Red Bulls are harder to read, they should be quick but looked off colour in Q1 and traditionally haven't always liked a green track.

Kimi told to TS, that he belives, he would have been on pole, when it have been dry.
The car felt so good On dry conditions.

OK, who's lying here? The video or Alonso?

The last part of qualifying was very problematic because there was aquaplaning, to such an extent that we did not use the KERS and you couldn’t use seventh gear on the straight.

This ^
TBH it was painful watching all of the cars in Q3 bumbling around a soaked track with dry setups.

that pole lap was last lap driven in Q3, while aquaplaning was visible at the beginning of Q3 (one of Force Indias went out in Parabolica which i more like slightly bent straight than a corner)

Also, MSC said he had a problem in Q1, which was fixed for Q2.

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Wet quali shows again who the true rain masters are. Fantastic work from FA. He's in fire this year. Wow.

Can someone please explain the logic of Macca NOT pitting for new wets when it is expected to be dry tomorrow?? I mean come on. Give your world class drivers a chance for gods sake. It seems every weekend they have more lame choices / excuses and it just dooms Ham and Button. Seriously. There are people in this forum who could run that teams pit calls better. Good grief.

You are aware Webber is starting the race in 8 while Vettel is on the front row.

I've hear that before this season. Then again, they were very quick in the dry. Then again, they will have to change tyres during the race, which complicated.
LionKing wrote:I think they have a good chance to win.

They had the fastest car in dry and the DRS zone seems overtake friendly.
Yes, I don't think starting positions will help race result a lot (other than sorting the cars in roughly the right order in terms of speed over a lap), with the overtaking possibilities, which I'm afraid will be too easy. If however someone like Schumacher can block the runners behind him for a few laps, it might just give the Red Bull and the Ferrari the legs and the tyres to have a bit of an advantage.

Doubt it, considering the forecasts. Mercedes looks very unimpressive, it's Schumacher saving their face with a few excellent wet weather performances in recent races. I expect them to slide backwards again though, surprising considering I (but who am I) thought they would be the team to beat after looking extremely quick with the new update in Monaco.

Any predictions on tyre choices for tomorrow? Judging by the practices it seems the option is not brilliantly fast, so I'm guessing the prime is the one to race on. Probably will be quite similar to Silverstone?

The problem for Merc is high fuel. 1st stint will be horrible, the rest should be fine though... it'll be all about whether MSC can hang onto P3.
