+ luck. But if you work hard luck is part of success.
Hopefully he completed his bonus for this season.

Ferrari and Alonso seem to have learned how to pace the car and tires so that it has a little more performance left for the end. It's probably not yet the quickest car, but in the long haul, it can maintain a good pace. Clean pitstops help too.

A bit of double moral from Horner in my opinion. When it came to the car and "torque problems", a grey area, it was the right choice by the stewards to not penalise them. But when Hamilton unlap himself, which again is a grey area, its wrong. #-o
Watched that. No brainer, really. Hill and Herbert are the best part of the sky package. Great guys.

So after this race I think we have our new WDC.

I think it's a fairly safe bet. Whilst McLaren's updates have put them back up there at the front, and there'll be a little more to come as they learn how best to set up the car, they certainly haven't put them clear of the other teams. The Ferrari/Alonso combination is currently by far the most consistent, so who would dare to bet against them?

@myurr,

Agreed %100. Even when the car was a dog Alonso brought home decent results. It'll take a giant leap from both Red Bull and McLaren now compared to the Ferrari to reel him in, which doesn't look likely at all. If he does win, it'll be well deserved (he has to keep this up for another 10 races though  )

Education is that which allows a nation free, independent, reputable life, and function as a high society; or it condemns it to captivity and poverty.

I dunno. If this season has shown us anything, it's that fortunes can rise and fall in an instant.

Now the question is whether Vettel will be penalised or not?
And usually how long does it take them to decide?
"We have a new toy" - Fernando Alonso.

Red Bull will have a hard time convincing the stewards - as Damon Hill put it to Horner, "Good luck!"

Disagree. We're only past the half-way point, one big update can leapfrog the competition. See McLaren.

Alonso has been Mr consistent thus far, but, he has to do it for the next half too.

Button and Vettel have left the stewards room.

Now its Martin Whitmarsh vs Horner a long with their henchmen...
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Honestly, I don't think we can forget that the McLaren garage was literally ruining their drivers races for a what would seem to be an eternity in a season where literally every point counts.

Because of that, now there is literally zero margin for error. They've used up all their "okay, we made a mistake" cards and probably even taken out a loan on them and now everything will have to be perfect for them to do what they need to do.

Which will never happen.

They lost the 2012 season in Malaysia, China, Bahrain, Spain, maybe Monaco.

Could even argue that they also lost in during the testing period as they basically did nothing while refusing to let one of their drivers test while they sent the other to do PR work. Now they're self admittedly two races behind in terms of development.

Thankfully the FIA have acted in this instance. Should have been a no brainer for them though...
