Lot of cars looked very free and struggling for grip on the options.

That's what Lotus Needed to hope for its First Win !
Romain has some work to do tomorrow as he starts in the dirty side of the track and will have to hold some big drivers ( Vettel , Button , Alonso )
Stunning pole from LH !
Good effort by Sebastian cuz I thought the Red Bull could only make it to P5/6 ..
Let's Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow otherwise there will be no advantage/disadvantage of starting on used / New Tyres

Presumably he would be demoted to P10 ie as if he hadn't set a time

McLaren should complain about that. A penalty for Vettel would see Button third and starting on the clean side. Button highlighted that in his interview. Big chance in getting infront of Grosjean at the start.

Well, I guess the question is whether they stewards decide to actually enforce the rules of the sport.

We shall see.

it was reported that the steward made clarification of the rules with regard to car off track, anyone knows about the clarification?

If the steward to be consistent then they should do something with Seb in this case. This would stop people going off track to be quick.

I think the curb is a part of the track but yeah still it's a little advantage taking this kind of a line

can someone explain where is the sense of sending out a driver late in a 10 Minute qualy session with 10!!!! cars circulating?
Is there any chance ,hope or whatever to get Track conditions improving in that time span with not much more than 20 timed laps adding to grip level? That cannot be measureable...and it is surely countered by increasing track temps due tosunlight -as there was not a single cloud in the sky..But a lot of sand and dust from Maldonato ..jesus christ that sand was ingested directly by Schumachers Mercedes engine..expect an engine problem tomorrow..

I thought the white line was considered the edge of the track

Nope... the track is the areas between the white lines bordering the track. The curb is outside of these lines.

20.2 Drivers must use the track at all times. For the avoidance of doubt the white lines defining the track edges are considered to be part of the track but the kerbs are not.
A driver will be judged to have left the track if no part of the car remains in contact with the track.
Should a car leave the track the driver may rejoin, however, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any advantage.
A driver may not deliberately leave the track without justifiable reason.

Actually it's the white line that demarcates the track, if you put four wheels off the white line, you are off the track. You're allowed to have two wheels off the track except for the the occasional exception in Monza, but the exit to Ascari doesn't gain you any time.

That said, I don't think they'll punish Vettel, I think they'll just modify that last corner for next year as they have at the Nurburgring and in Spain.

Good effort by Grosjean!!
Vettel did well, I feel he had another 3 tenths.

Hamilton was dominant! The car has come good and I hope it continues like this for the rest of the season!

The boss is back!

Praying that Mclaren doesn't cock it it up! That Renault is going to be a big threat in a tyre eater of a track such as this.
