Will someone please throw HRT a bone & get rid of this clown from the sport, but good.
I think Karthikeyan's sponsors are the only thing keeping him on the grid. Not sure how much money he is bringing, but when you're HRT, and you are attempting to improve your car, money is necessary even though you may field drivers that are not any good.

Charles Pic driver of the day. His race was AWESOME. At one point of the race, he was more than ONE minute ahead of Glock, and at the end of the race he was only a few seconds behind Petrov.

Simply AWESOME.

Wasn't Narain crashing out, according to Sky commentators he had front suspension failure.

Quote from Maldonado on Autosport (http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/101639)

"I have no idea why I got the penalty this time," he said when asked about the penalty by AUTOSPORT. "It was a good overtaking manoeuvre.

"There was a small contact, but this is racing. I saw [Kimi] Raikkonen and [Romain] Grosjean [battling] and it was more or less the same."

This guy really is a liability and has no qualms about using his car as a weapon when the red mist descends. He oversteered into the side of Di Resta much the same way he did to Perez so clearly he doesn't learn from his mistakes, and in this case doesn't even consider he did anything wrong. What would it take for the Fia to revoke or suspend his super license?

Just out of interest, in how many races this year has Maldonado hit another car, either during qualifying or the race?

i think everyones being WELL harsh on Maldo.
Yes Valencia was 100% his fault and stupid. Fine.
Silverstone, he lost the car completely, it was a misjudged error but not intentional, obviously.

HEre in Hungary - which proved Impossible to overtake even with DRS, he took a dive, there was a bit of side contact where he had to correct oversteer..because he was clearly on the limit.
Its not like he intended to get sideways and hit Di Resta.

Also we saw Hamilton do pretty much the same thing to Massa at Silverstone (last year or year before, cant remember) - at the last lap at the last corner - absolutely nothing was said then?

Theres also that now infamous ARnoux Villenueve battle at Dijon, where they are contacting each other many times and battling to the death. There is nothing wrong with a bit of side to side action.

You can't keep sticking penalties on drivers attempting to overtake, its pathetic. Soon no driver will even bother trying unless its 100% clear cut chance or in a DRS zone.

F1 has changed since the 70's & 80's your not allowed to make any contact, back then it was almost acceptable. Times have changed, so the drivers have to aswell. Maldonado shouldnt be in a race car, he's sick. yes Lewis and Mass touched at spa last year , the difference is, BOTH Lesis and Massa finished the Race. Maldonado always takes himself and/or the other guy out of the race.

We have had 10 races this year, and Pastor is almost in double figures for collisions.

I think the scariest thing about the whole Maldonardo situation is that he doesn't learn from his mistakes!

Right... and it's an F1 driver's job to know the limit, and not go over it. We're being harsh to Maldonado because he repeatedly goes beyond the limit, either deliberately or through lack of skill.
Its not like he intended to get sideways and hit Di Resta.
I'm not convinced of that one.
Also we saw Hamilton do pretty much the same thing to Massa at Silverstone (last year or year before, cant remember) - at the last lap at the last corner - absolutely nothing was said then?
No, we saw Massa attempt to pass Hamilton around the outside and fail at it.
Theres also that now infamous ARnoux Villenueve battle at Dijon, where they are contacting each other many times and battling to the death. There is nothing wrong with a bit of side to side action.
Notably though, the contact was not enough to push someone several meters of the track, just gentle taps.

No one is doing that, plenty of drivers are overtaking this year without driving into each other.

What we saw today was Alonso managing to extend his lead in the championship.

SPA-Francorchamps is KIMI territory , but the F2012 has it's strenght in high speed corners so Alonso is among the favorites for a pole.

Monza as well suites the F2012 and if all goes well in the next 2 races we will see Alonso fighting for the drivers championship up until the last race.

why devaluate your rant with such a statement? have you actually seen the incident today? not much drama, nothing happened.
but the Maldonado-bashing-bandwagon seems to irresistible not to jump on eh?

It seems to me that Alonso/Ferrari and the soft tyres don't work together. Wasn't just this race, or? I think it will be a very exciting 2nd half of the season.
