By the time Q came around, he realised the wing was one second slower the team was economical with the truth an it was too late to change. That is why he reacted by posting the Telemetry. I think the intention is to show that even twitter fans can see that the new wing was faster even though the Engineers kept telling him they were the same. It all makes sense now: I think the Engineers don't want him in the team they want Jenson to be their number one driver... it's a real conspiracy no joke.
I don't know how much of the coaxing there might have been considering the state of the weather and the limitations from Free Practice.
Either way, this that or the other, new wing or old wing, coercion or no, you don't go against your team like this. You can complain to the twitterverse all you want, but at the end of the day, your entire team looks bad. The wheel-gun mechanic looks bad, the composites technician at the factory looks bad, the front desk clerk looks bad. The buck does, indeed, stop somewhere and the folks that helped make that final decision to keep the non-Spa wing will have to answer for it. But, this act doesn't justify it.
Lewis has had a history of voicing his frustration to his team, about his team. Those moments have always kept me from really getting behind Lewis or respecting his drive to championships. I won't bother comparing him to Alonso or whoever, because respecting the team enough to not do things like this is Motorsport Teamwork 101.
