If d'Ambrosio finishes the race, he'll likely be in P6-P12.

3rd for Ascari? I thought it's taken in 4th these days.
If you're not driving a hunk of junk like an HRT? ;)

I think so. I definitely don't think RB currently has the potential to run away from the field like in previous years but I think one of the RB drivers will be in contention for a podium spot this weekend.

I think you guys are expecting too much from a rookie who he got less than a week to prepare for his first race.

I think getting into Q3 and finishing in points will be a good achievement for rookie.
I agree with this. An interesting parallel is Mac Gene in 2003, who came in just for Monza to replace Ralf Schumacher in the Williams. He managed 5th in a car that was at least a clear second best (if not the best) in the field and that was considered a really good result.

Even then, he was never really on the pace of Montoya in the other car. Let's not forget, in those days the test drivers got to drive the cars a lot and there was loads of testing prior to Monza 2003. I echo the sentiment that any points is a big result for him.

1st turn of Ascari is not that fast, something as 170kph-180kph. So you could start it in 3rd then change to 4th during the slight right turn and exit its 3rd turn at more than 240kph.

Somebody is taking the hint the FIA made. We'll see if he can stay out of trouble at Monza.

Generally speaking, low grip, car floating like a butterfly, and hard braking with very low downforce levels, I'd have actually thought the track was good to Hamilton, but someone dug up a stat that I found really amazing - Hamilton has never actually finished ahead of a teammate here  Holy crap. To be fair, he was knackered by the weather in 2008 (had it stayed wet, he probably would've finished ahead of Heikki I guess) and in 2009 when he crashed out

Thankfully no rain in the forecast. I really want the teams to have dry running all weekend so we can see who's got what.. Forza Ferrari!

Forza Scuderia Ferrari! Forza di Tifosi!

Qualifying:

1. Alonso
2. Schumacher
3. Ham

Race:

1. Alonso
2. Button
3. Hamilton
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

How crazy would the Tifosi be for this podium?

1. Alonso!
2. Schumacher!
3. Raikkonen!

With Massa in 4th. Honestly, I wouldn't grudge Massa a podium versus Alonso; he could really use the boost in points and confidence...

Massa performed exceptionally well at SPA....so you're correct to assume he is a fair chance of a podium (top 5).

Hey guys, Monza time again!

I will definitely be watching Ho Ping Tung and Di Ambrosio in first Practice. Hoping for a clean weekend for Hamilton.
