HRT have got enough problems managing the cooling on this year's car. In fact I would not be surprised if they thought they could get away without implementing KERS next year.

Wow!! I know HRT are on a tight budget but maybe they should have stretched to that 4 feet of heat-shielding!

Isn't the lower side impact protection beam positioned little bit "extraordinary low"?

The lower side-crashbox? AFAIK, all teams have them hidden in their floor so it is "ordinary low".

pyrosik is expensive ...as curing parts in autoclaves...that looks pretty much like the wrong matrix for that area...unfortunatelly no more metalwork on current cars ...so the fabricator to form the bodywork is also non existant at HRT...maybe some access to sls -one can do complete difussers in this technology....so ...yes i know Mclaren are the ones having big enough rp machines to do such a big part ..not in the range for HRT..I doubt this is available as a service commercially ....maybe in Italy...

Zircotek are a company that provides heat resistant coatings. The cooked area just looks like ill fitting carbon fibre.
The problem for HRT is the quality of their platform. They can't afford expensive technology but I'd expect a design without flaws in packaging leading to overheating and effective suspension layout allowing enough adjustment to keep tyres in the temperature window. After all the car design is down to the quality of the designer and his ideas.

MGP failed to produce parts suitable to exhaust blowingh in their first year as well...I´d say it´s inexperience and lack of funds driving this ....of course you can always do better.
It is not that hard to produce a piece of bodywork from sheetmetal in the heat affected area...I doubt the few grammes added -even if it were 500g would affect performance of the car at all but it would give a bit of crtedibility and peace of mind as the car won´t cook up on the grid..

Zircotech is not that expensive, especially on a simple panel.

Not sure what hurts my eyes the most; the cooked carbon panel or the finish of that welding job. Frankly, I've seen bicycle frames with better finish than that.

Bad isn't it! Also, those awful mushroom head screws, can't they even afford a counter sink bit for their Makita?
