If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I dunno if it's changed since then, but that shows for me just barely the tail end of a storm might just clip the city at 8pm, and quickly clear.

I don't expect rain, the sky was clear during GP2.

Yes, and they still do, but it's well known the MP4-27 is a disaster in the wet.
Which points to cars and setup being a bigger performance differentiator in the wet than drivers are - which is what I think zeph is mostly referring to.

36.2 b) of the Sporting Regulations, or just scroll up and see my original post. :)
FIA 36.2 wrote:If more than one driver fails to set a time during Q1, Q2 or Q3 they will be arranged in
the following order :
i) Any driver who attempted to set a qualifying time by starting a flying lap.
ii) Any driver who failed to start a flying lap.
iii) Any driver who failed to leave the pits during the period.

Again 36.2 doesn't say anything like "In the event of driver's not setting a time, the one who went out first (a flying lap) is placed ahead in the grid" at all.

Schumacher is ahead of Rosberg because of lower car number. Schumacher car. 7, Rosberg car. 8.

Looks like the storms are gonna miss just now, but really, this kind of weather is 100% unpredictable. I was under the impression though that this was done as a night race (rather than night to day) to avoid the evening storms, so I'd imagine it'll be fine, even if it starts damp.

It's primarily done as a night race to suit the European TV audience. It's basically on about the same time as the European races are. That's also why Bernie was/is pushing Australia to be a night GP :)

AND?
Does this make Rosberg better or worse?

The relevant thing is Schumacher pulled a better time than Nico in Q2...and they had to give it all to make it into Q3 .The point was Schumacher is as Quick as the young gun still or again. No word of Rosberg dominance in Qualy this year.End of story.

and why the F are Schumi and Rosberg starting on options? one would think they didn't run Q3 because of the primes ... well done there
