Interesting Omnicorse interview. A few things I found interesting;

1. He says that no just F1 would be a problem, but ANY single seater car. My take from this is that he can't get in and out of these cars and/or the distance his elbow has to be from his side is a problem in a tight cockpit.

2. He is. Very critical about the S2000 rally cars. To say that he hates them is an understatement.

3. He seems OK with not racing in F1 if be isn't fit.

And the Italian to English translation sucks. You can tell it was just put through a program to translate it. It was a very good interview.

I translate it with Google from Polish. I've tried to edit it, was much worst in first place. Sorry, my English isn't to good.

Robert Kubica could be handed a route back to Formula 1 as Pirelli's test driver next year, the tyre company's motorsport director Paul Hembery has said.

Pirelli is set to require a replacement for Jaime Alguersuari, who looks poised to make a full-time return to F1 - potentially with Force India if one of its drivers leaves.

Although Kubica's hand is still some way off being recovered enough to allow him to drive an F1 car in anger, Hembery has admitted that once the Pole is ready then Pirelli would be more than willing to give him an opportunity.

A return to action with Pirelli would also make sense because the company is to keep the 2010 Renault test car it has used so far for another year. That is the same machine that Kubica raced two years ago.

Speaking about the possibility Hembery said: "We are more likely to work with Robert in rallying I guess, rather than F1, but we will see.

"I haven't spoken to Robert for some time and we are working on a few projects that might involve him, so it might well be a possibility.

"I don't know if he is able to do it at the moment. But he is that type of person if physically he could get back in, then maybe doing a year with us would put him in a good situation to come back in in 2014. It would be wonderful if we could do that.

"We want to continue our success level of helping drivers into F1. After an F1 drive, the Pirelli test deal has to be the best drive in the world."

Hembery says that with the 2014 technical regulations being so different, there is little point wasting time trying to secure a more up-to-date machine to replace the Renault.

"There is probably no point," he said. "If we are going to be testing next year for 2014, then that is a different challenge – and no car will be relevant for that. So we will probably see the Renault 2010 car just being heavily modified."

it really hurts me that this kid cant (as yet) get back where he belongs, in an F1 car

the kid has more talent than 4 fifths of the grid, and would be challenging the leaders.

Pirelli need to get him in the car ASAP just so he can see himself he can still drive an F1 car, fuel him, give him days in the car and then watch him replace Massa

Great news from Bassano rally! After 5 stages Robert leads with over 16 seconds to next team ;) And unofficial results state that he won 6th stage with over 30s gap

2014 is what im aiming for.

I think Ferrari is waiting. If Kubica can´t then it´s Vettel.

I don't know much about rally driving, but at around 0:42 seconds, he seems to make a meal of a tight right turn. What do you think?

Robert said that there's still a long way to go, but after that rally, it seems it may be shorter than he previously thought ;)
Also, when presented the trophy, Robert's been asked If he would race in next years 30th Rally Bassano, and replied: "Though i liked that rally very much, I hope next year I will be somewhere else". Maybe he has some plans or at least see the possibility to come up with a surprise for next year  If he could dominate in an Italian Rally Championship event, with previous champions on the grid and some really bad conditions at some point, speed is definitely there. And maybe with a car designed with his less able right hand on mind, there is a chance of comeback to F1 even in 2013?
Maybe a bit wishfull thinking, but I for one really miss him on the F1 grid.

I'm hearing news (polish) that Robert Kubica was allready hinting at something in his last interview (he surely seems way more optimistic). That something seems to have something to do with Pirelli and it's not rally. On top of that it seems rather sooner than later. Holding both thumbs!
The speed of Ayrton Senna.
The mind of Alain Prost.
The dedication of Michael Schumacher.
The determination of Alex Zanardi.

Yes, I heard Robert is signing on as Pirelli tester. Will be good for him - he gets experience on the Pirellis while slowly reacclimatising to F1, and also - he'll be driving his last F1 car anyways.
