So what you are saying is that because Benetton cheated Senna crashed into the wall in Imola? That's pretty weird, one would think someone would crash because of a driver error or a problem with the car, not because another team removes the fuel cap on their fuel tanks and run illegal software.

Senna knew Schumacher's car was illegal.

He died trying to outrun an illegal car...that's why the FIA was never going to admit the B-194 was actually running traction control. Can you imagine the liability they would open themselves up to if it was admitted that Senna was trying to outrun an illegal car at Imola? Why, you could make a rather easy case that he pushed his own car too hard trying to create a gap between himself and an illegal car.

I though Senna died because he crashed into the wall and part of the wheel/suspension came through his helmet?

He didnt die trying to outrun an illegal car, he died because of a crash. Or are you trying to say Senna else wouldnt give his 100%? We all know that is bullshit.

Germany's Auto Motor und Sport said that even though bosses Ross Brawn and Norbert Haug flanked the seven time World Champion as he announced the news, they had only been told what was going to happen just five minutes earlier.

If its true then that really smells of a rift between Mercedes and Schumacher. It's clear he decided not to confide in them probably due to a lack of trust. I wouldn't trust those rattlers flanking him anyway. I doubt he will be taking up any management role. I suspect he may be considering taking on managerial role or vehicle development role at Ferrari

seems as there has been no official discussion on this which I interpret as Schumacher basically backing away from Mercedes in every way. Debt paid, I won't be sticking around so you can knife me again. Now Brawn tried to co-opt Schumacher into a role at MErc to appease the fans and perhaps Mercedes themselves.

The very uncomfortable expressions on the faces of Haug and Brawn seems to give this a lot of credibility. I hope Schumacher does walk away from Mercedes entirely.

I´m not sure of what to make of this.
Maybe we will know in 2013 when Sauber will announce their powertrain supply for 2014? I very much suspect there was more to it than gets announced .
The fear inside Dai must surely be MGP getting wiped the floor with a sauber driven by the old man considering their speed this year not completely impossible.
Mind you Sauber would need just one race to thorrowly beat MGP and Michael driving to really hurt MGPs reputation.But i may see things there .

Just remember that no driver with multiple championships other than MSC, was ever excluded from a world championship per his attempt to run Jacques Villeneuve off the track at Jerez in '97.

No, you don’t see things there. I also believe that Schumacher would do much better with Sauber. Just look at the result of Japan qualy. P4 and P6 on such a aerodynamically demanding track is quite impressive.
I think it is just up to Schumacher. If he wants to drive for Sauber it should be easy for him to get a seat there. I think he announced his retirement to early. He could have waited with that until the end of the season and see how things look like then.

edit: and about Schumi future he should stay far away from Ferrari or Merc both teams treated him with disrespect. When Mick grows up Michael should buy a team and prepare for him a competitive car.
