And it was a PR disaster for Ferrari, events for which they are still vilified whenever there is mention of team orders, intra-team rivalry, or fair play.FrukostScones wrote:Massa or others were sacrificed for less before.

I really hope for McLaren that it's just a weird coincidence. But it doesn't feel right. It's not like Ferrari have made a big step forward with the car - Red Bull I can accept. McLaren have gone backwards and suddenly Lewis can't set the car up, despite having a good setup that had worked at every circuit except Spa up until that point.LHamilton wrote:Since Lewis told us about his move to Mercedes, everything has gone wrong for him. Bad setup twice in a row. Wasnt in the last episode of their show 'Tooned'. Hm... McLaren doing it on purpose? Not to give Lewis the chance of the drivers championship? Gut feeling of it. They just want to collect point for the constructors. Could be just paranoid But you got to admit its a weird coincidence.

But that perception of the brand permeates through to even those who are in the market for a Ferrari. It starts with the fans but also more importantly with the journalists. You get snide comments and jokes in articles about the cars, and the feeling about the brand starts to permeate throughout the media and public perception. Some people will like that image, others will shy away from it. Given how sensitive Ferrari have been about their image in news articles and reviews of their cars, and how they were willing to lie and try to deceive the public over their antics in the past, I'd say that their image is incredibly important to them and for good reason.FrukostScones wrote:not too many variables. only chance they had. they kind of accepted a ten points loss by putting Massa on hold.
only a PR desaster with us f1 fans, I doubt too many of us bought a Porsche instead.
They use it at most circuits.vall wrote:I think it if totally unacceptable to have this artificial grass on F1 track what a disgrace.....
