Andrew Benson @ andrewbensonf1
I'm told @alo_oficial kept all developments on car through P2 - ft & rear wings, diffuser, brake ducts. Encouraging for them if that's case

The "U-Shaped" extension in the AMuS picture is new. It looks to connect to the SMH. Very interesting!!

It is encouraging and Alonso could have gone 2 tenths faster on his eigth lap of the soft tyre run, had he not lost time in the final sector. So I don't think the quali gap is as big as it seems.

You would imagine that the very fact that the white heat sensor is in place under the exhaust indicates that they are testing something - even if this is the tiniest alteration. I said before the weekend that we were more likely to see a tiny degree alteration to the exhaust than anything too obvious, and this may well be the case here.

Nah. Alonso was sandbagging those two tenths, so he looks better in quali :P

Seems really an interesting solution! What you guys think about that?
I also think it's a kind of a double diffusor fed by the motor starter hole as is seen more blatantly on the Mercedes W03 for months. I always wondered why no one copied it, maybe it's not that effective ...

Alone it's probably not worth much but it's possible it could work well with the existing Ferrari package. Maybe there are updates to make this new part more effective that we can't/haven't seen. Interesting development nonetheless.
