They said that but why Rosberg had raced it the new airbox inlet ?Ganxxta wrote:BrilliantMorteza wrote:Mercedes may choose to ditch passive double-DRS system in 2013

They wasted so much free practice time running this device and so much resources to fine tune it -.-
Just like the DDRS or the passive DRS on the W01 or W02 (can't remember) while everyone was using easier McLaren style solutions -.-
I bet they will still use it in the beginning of the season, just to find out after 5-6 races that its not worth it.
It would be a good idea but we can not assure that this will work, all they updates introduced by RB always follow a coherent process and making sure that the balance of the car is perfect. Unfortunately we cant say the same about Mercedes updates.n smikle wrote:Car still slow as shoot. updates are not working!
why don't they copy the RedBull FW for christ sake! Anything will be better at this stage.
You mean the passive F-Duct (not DRS as I said before )?atanatizante wrote:They said that but why Rosberg had raced it the new airbox inlet ?Ganxxta wrote:BrilliantMorteza wrote:Mercedes may choose to ditch passive double-DRS system in 2013

Sorry, I didn't found a picture to back this statement ... maybe someone could help me with this one
The team runs the device, something they can run next year legally, on 1 car for several minutes in one practice session. Most teams are using P1 as a test session now. They are not dumping resources endlessly on this one thing. I don't think anyone expects the duct to be a magic bullet.Morteza wrote:The thing is why they spend so much time and resources on things no other does. The search for a magic bullet has poisoned their minds. They have to get back to reality.Ganxxta wrote:BrilliantMorteza wrote:Mercedes may choose to ditch passive double-DRS system in 2013
