Post

There is a huge reason why this race will be a success a Group of Fan's have organised to go to the race in "Massa" a large number of people have organised to go support "CHECO" Perez in his HOME race (yeah this again go ahead Tifoso Rant) and with Mexican American Formula 1 Fans being as intensively passionate about all sports. Mexican fans don't really need to have a history of supporting a team. Il set a few recent examples (ill be it in soccer) but still effective every team that has a Mexican in it (Europe Based teams) enjoys a huge support from fans both in Mexico and the United States (Mexican Americans). But not only that CHECO is actually really good.. So expect to see a lot of CHECO support at Austin.. Both from COTA and Mexican Fans of sports....... The Mexican sports fan is a passionately driven one with a focus in love of culture. We will see a passion driven fan base here. I DARE NOT say they will be like that of the "TIFOSI"or even those Silverstone faithfull.....

But I wish to point out one key element. In the United States Mexican Sports fans all share a passion that is un yielding in its resolve. The truth of the matter is when a team an athlete waves that Green and Red with its eagle at full prey ,it is in this manner which they drive themselves. It is for this reason that I believe this race ,this track ,this LAND will be a HOME RACE for CHECO. It will be the Mexican fans RE-TAKING of the Alamo... After all isn't it in American where they say "Home is where you make it" . Well NASCAR fans might not find them selves at home with the idea of Formula One at home in Austin. But IDE like to point out one thing... Mexican Fans don't care much for NASCAR in the first place and Mexican fans don't care much for Americans not wanting Mexicans to find them selves at home in the U.S. it is a simple clash of truths that drives me to believe one thing.... Mexican fans will find them selves quite at home in Texas. They already do!!

But this is no why....
Even if Mexican fans had no prior knowledge of what is Formula One they would support it... But Ide love to point out one truth Mexico has a passion for Formula 1 that dates back to the 1950's. Plain and simple the passion is there the fanaticism is also there the history. It all gathers here in Austin.. A long a awaited hero comes the passionate Mexican Fans. It was in the 60's that Mexico had its first Ferrari drivers in Pedro and Ricardo Rodriguez (Brothers) "Los Hermanos Rodríguez". So Now not only do they get their Heroes back but he will be in a McLaren no a Ferrari.... Wait Heroes...... "Los Hermanos Rodriguez" came in pair and so do CHECO and Esteban it seems as tho Mexico is destined to have its Drivers all ways come in pair.......

Ide love to point out an interesting fact. The last time McLaren raced in a NEW track built I the American Continent they won.. When the Hipódromo De los Hermanos Rodríguez was opened for the then CAN-AM series that first race was won by McLaren.. However it had a funy name I was car number 99 and it was driven by M. Solana a Mexican driver and the team name was "Aztec Racing" not McLaren..... This is where history get's a little interesting and perhaps where the Mexican faithful Formula One fans can perhaps begin to dream of past glory and that "What if's" of present endeavours....

Maybe a Mexican McLaren driver can win again an inaugural race in the Americas. Maybe Esteban will be confirmed for Sauber thus giving Mexican fans their "Hermanos" for them to once again cheer for. Maybe they too will turn up in "massa" to support their CHECO and make them selves at home in Austin. Maybe MX_Tifoso won't have a hisyFit over this post..... Maybe...

Sorry if I misspelled thing and my grammar sukz I was just ranting..

Are you are Mexi-can?

My view is that majority of the NASCAR folks won't watch F1 anyway. The rest will probably watch the delayed feed.

For those who like to follow the drama in F1, you will see a large number of Celebrities in the pits!
Guys like Jay Lenno, ICE-T, Beyonce, Seinfield and whole truck load more.. It's going to be loaded with celebrities.

If FA can just get on the front row...not even pole, he can win this. Maybe with the updates and the focus to DRS, they will be able to get their quali within top 3. I Really think in raw race pace, in FA's hands, Ferrari is fastest.

I'm a McLaren Fan but...

Just because I admire all that Alonso has worked for this season I want him to win. 2nd place this season would be a let downto hard work and incridible driving skill in adversity.... Where as Vettel is the type of driver who can only win if his car is the fastest.... It's Adrian who gets the wins not Vettel. I'm sorry RB fans but we've yet to see him drive like Hamilton or Alonso with a bad car. If The RB isn't fast neither is Vettel.. I want to see what he can do if Alonso has a good Ferrari and Hamilton and Kimi are also driving strong cars.. He'll even Perez with a Decent car can do more then Vettel... We've yet to see him win due to skill and not the Car he drives.... Sorry but its true.. Also and Hamilton have more skill but Alonso has shown more this season..

alonso win was due to some unforeseen circumstances during the race, some of which happens to be illegal.

I´m thinking it will be a Mclaren lockout in Quali.
Probably a bit optimistic on my side but i think VET 3rd, and Alonso 4th

He got lucky with Hamilton's team --- up his qualifying and putting him down the field. Also was wet which dont have that many. I would like to see seb in a dry race and a 3/4 fastest team and see what he does. As i agree with others hes only good when got top machinery at his disposal. Last race he had the fastest car thats why he got though the field and the safey cars and people getting knocked out at the start helped him massively. (also he was penalized and got to change his car settings to make to better for overtaking, this in my eyes is wrong, thats another reason why he did good

Me too. Im not a FA fan but I would like to see an epic final battle between him and Vettel in the last race, and if it is with rain much better!!

I expect Hamilton on the pole, closely followed by Sebastian and Fernando, the best scenario I can imagine hehehe.

When did Alonso/Hamilton/Raikkonen win a race with the 3/4 the fastest car without bad luck or bad driving from 1st/2nd fastest cars?
A good driver is considered to be the one who can extract the ultimate pace out of the car in all circumstances. And there is no proof saying that Seb can't do it. And just because Newey designs cars for Seb, that doesn't mean he deserves less.

Alonso = Hungaroring 2003, Fair enough Hamilton and Raikkonen have had good cars not always the fastest. Seb just seems to qualify on pole and walks away as has the best car. I never seen him like Hamilton pushing to the limit throwing the car around , that something special about him.

You mean to say Alonso had 3rd/4th fastest car at that race?? :?

I seem to remember he lapped Schumi and dominated the race. He eventually won by some 17s margin over Raikkonen. Even if he didnt have the fastest car that weekend he still qualified on pole and had build up a 21s margin by lap 13 over Webber. In what way does it seem like a 3rd/4st fastest car to you mate?

The renault was the 4 fastest team that year, it was not the best car whole season mate
