Why can't F1 commentators learn to round numbers??

God, this is a pet peeve of mine. Vettel posts a 35.971 and Croft describes it as a "35.9." Uh, no, it's not.

Relevance?

The pertinent information in that statement is that a car has broken the 1:36.0 barrier.

If everyone was doing 1:35.9XX times, he'd obviously elaborate further.

Edit: While Vettel casually goes 1:35.796.......casually....

Unless something goes wrong in the race, this is WDC#3 for Seb.
Massa 2nd? :o

In my experience, they actually don't. It wasn't the greatest example, but commentators will almost always describe a 1:35.265 as 1:35.2 when it would be more accurate to say 1:35.3.

Massa was in Q1 faster as Alonso, too. Mysterious. But at least at sunday he will finish behind Alonso

Good job, Michael Schumacher! =D> Where does that pace come from? Let's hope that he can keep up the pace in Q3.

Again, its all about relevance.

If a driver does a .265 and everyone else is on a .9XX, whether he's .015 closer to .3 really only matters to anal people such as yourself :P

Unbelievable end to the session. Hamilton was utterly immense.

Now the only question is, will Vettel get a grid drop for setting his fastest sector under yellows in Q1.

Yes, Hamilton was amazing. I would love to see him in a car against Vettel. Hamilton has been soo impressive this year.
