Lewis Hamilton has won the inaugural United States GP at Austin after passing Sebastian Vettel at two thirds of the race distance. The German finished second while Fernando Alonso is third at more than 40 seconds of the leading duo, keeping his championship hopes alive.

We can hope. I want him to have to work for his title, rather than be gifted it by Newey. The way his car is switching on its tyres has been giving him a huge advantage, and it shows what an incredible job Hamilton did to run him as close as he did.beelsebob wrote:Unbelievable end to the session. I can agree with that. Love him or loathe him, he's been showing Button up massively over this season. Without Hamilton showing the way we would be saying that the McLaren was a dog and was slower than the Ferrari. Hamilton and Alonso have been the stand out drivers for me this season, although Alonso's just had a bit of a wobble in this session.JimClarkFan wrote:No one. I don't think any driver can drive a car fast like Hamilton.
