Vettel wasn't quick whilst the track was dry though. Took many laps for his tyres to come in, where Hamilton and Alonso only took a lap or two.WhiteBlue wrote:Quite probable. Webber and Massa probably more dry biased.sknguy wrote:I think Alonso and Vettel may have been qualifying with wet setups in the dry.
They're working hard(ly) to deliver.stefan_ wrote:The HRTs are a piece of crap that need to be kicked out of F1.
did you hear what Alonso said at RTL? Did i understand it right, that he isn't really running a rain setup?Intego wrote:...
Vettel 303 kmh, alonso 309 kmh, hamilton 314 kmh. Hence the limiter for half the straight.Intego wrote:Alonso and even more Vettel were on the limiter very early compared to Hamilton.
They're the same as FP3 as you are stuck in quali with what you have in FP3.raymondu999 wrote:Anyone have quali speedtrap info?
I'll have to rewatch that. But in today's F1 there isn't a strict rain setup any more. And Alonso being in/on (?) the engine limiter early seems to be prepared in some instances for wet conditions.McMrocks wrote:did you hear what Alonso said at RTL? This would be shocking me
Definitely it will help in the race when they (Vettel and Alonso) can't use DRS. RB is having more DF so they will be strong if it rainsIntego wrote:I'll have to rewatch that. I am puzzled as to how you make out that either "cracked" under pressure! Both went out and did their best, but the Maccas were just a bit faster, IN QUALI TRIM. Lets see what the race brings. Seb does not need to win, and can play safe, but Alonso has to go for a win.Juzh wrote:So after both alonso and vettel claim they're as calm as ever, they both crack under pressure.
