The exhaust is still aerodynamically blowing the outside of the diffuser, that's what the ramp is all about, and the big upgrade on the Red Bull that got Vettel back to the front of the grid was a combination of getting that device working and getting the stalling of the rear wing during qualifying working.[/quote]
Def not trying to argue about this subject as I have never studied physics or anything about aerodynamics. What I do kmow is that everyone in the paddock is allowed to set their car up however they see fit within the rules put forth to them by the fia and red bull along with the driver feedback from vettel obviously set their car up good enough throughout the season to win a third straight WDC.
