The biggest disgrace was Michael Schumacher moving over like that, what a slap in the face to all the Tifosi, personally, as far as im concerned, he doesnt exist, he fights everyone tooth and nail and then just moves over like that, personally i felt that was disgraceful.

For me, Alonso is the most complete driver in the world, 3 points behind the red bull in the 3rd best car. And to be honest, Hamilton would have won the championship had it not been for some of the most ridiculous luck I have ever seen in my life.

I dunno, congrats to the kid, but the bottom line is this, 3 world titles and yet most insiders would tell you he is not the best driver in the world........say it all really. Alonso will have to make do with the Autosport driver of the year award and the team bosses and drivers voting him the best in the world again, just like in 2010.
Pretty much, some people are just amazingly luck in life. Vettel seems to be one of them, the past 3 or 4 incidents he has had have not been terminal, compare that to Hamilton and Alonso... where the last two or three incidents they have had have ended in retirement.

Actually, Vettel had 1 alternator failure during a race, Hamilton has been taken out of the lead in 4 seperate races by mechanical failures, and had more issues from all kinds of other things like anti-roll bar failures, and endless pit stop disasters. So no, not even close.
Monza and Valencia count as the same race then???

Are you trying to say that Force India was quicker than Mclaren & quickest of all.

Funny that Hamilton could not win a WDC with the Out-Right QUICKEST car in 2007 & needed a lot of luck in 2008 to win it the last corner
I said fast OR fastest...Leaves it up to everyones opinon to judge...(Yes the FI was FAST today) Learn to read please, thank you.

Hamilton and Alonso are RACERS, they will take a pen into a knife fight no problems.

Vettel should stay with red bull as long as possible whilst he can, no sour grapes, but once he steps away from Newey its game over for the kid and I think most drivers would tell you that to be honest.

He is a top 3 driver, but after 3 world titles i see 0 to ever make me think he can hang with Alonso and Hamilton in equal cars over a season. My opinion.

Congratulations to Finger Boy. Looks like the witch doctor used too much black magic that it back-fired. Any way not the result I wanted, but lets face it, Alonso had no business winning the WDC anyway, it was ineveitable that the Champions were going to be RBR and Vettel.

Vettel drove a great race. Did what his car could do in that situation, kept his head cool and stayed on track.

So sad that Hamilton got taken out through no fault of his own - even after giving Hulk tons of room. That was a win in the bag if you ask me.

How was that dis-graceful?? What a load of BS. He is driving his last race, shying away from challenges in the entire 1st half of the race. You expect him to meaningless fight Vettel with stupid car for 12-15 laps in heavy rain.

Vettel is more dear to Michael than Alonso anyway. Alonso has always been his rival & Vettel has treated MSC like his idol. MSC sees himself in Vettel, that is why he is called "Baby Schumi"

So let me get this straight.

Vettel gets spun around, goes to back of field, has a badly damaged car, loses radio, has a incorrect strategy call, and a slow pitstop and makes his way through the field well to 6th and is lucky.

While Alonso leaves the track twice, inherits 4th through an incident between 2 cars clearly ahead of him, gets gifted 2nd from Massa and is unlucky???

Vettel was clearly quicker at almost all points of the race.

oh god, people just read before posting something

this is the third time i am posting this
Martin Brundle ‏@MBrundleF1
To answer many it appears the warning lights were red and yellow for slippery track not yellow so nothing to answer for Vettel.

All in all this championship was decided by Grosjean.
I am sure Alonso should have finish with more than 3 points that race. But we will never know.
Today Vettel was really lucky, a crash with three cars involved and it is the only one coming out from there.
But this is F1. Alonso finished second because Hukenberlg and Hamilton incident.

Vettel got a great car again and he won. Well deserve it.
Alonso, didn't have the car but he took well his chances. Always there.
Hamilton for sure was the most unlucky of the year. Should have been on this last fight.

Let's hope 2013 is as exciting as 2012
