My guess is that Ferrari asked the question to Charlie as it happened and OT got sorted out during the race. I haven't seen an appeal so far
I don't think they will appeal..

But it wasn't lucky to be involved in the incidents.NathanOlder wrote:You have to say, He was lucky not to be out of the race after 4 turns. All his own doing. Did well from there on in though.
A champions drive.......AlpineF1 wrote:Why are people still obsessing about it Red Bull have won and there is NO penalty Vettel was not doing anything wrong and you cannot say todays performance was luck another drive from the back of the grid!!! a champions drive!!

I was under the impression it was Sennas fault Vettel kept the racing line as nearly all his car was ahead and Senna wasnt thinking and just expected him to move.NathanOlder wrote:You have to say, He was lucky not to be out of the race after 4 turns. Getting involved was his own doing. Not being out of the race was Extremely luckyMcMrocks wrote:But it wasn't lucky to be involved in the incidents.NathanOlder wrote:You have to say, He was lucky not to be out of the race after 4 turns. All his own doing. Did well from there on in though.
yeh from then on he drove a very good race, and his pace in the wet was really impressive, especially considered he had a damaged car.Traction wrote:Anyone one else think that Seb remained incredibly calm after the initial shunt and from then on drove a very very controlled race? Seemed that even the double pit stop never unsettled him.
Exactly...What ever was meant to happen has happened.Vettel is champion...Wether we like it or not (i don't frankly) its the fact...Our favourite teams/drivers can have a go again at next year. Its like every game/sport in the universe its understandable that a lot of people get upset and frustrated though but lets get it under the carpet i guess,we are not earning anything from F1 (except the members working at anything F1 related),its them that they are get paid-we don't.So lets just enjoy and wait for 2013.There always gonna be losers and winners, luckers and bad luckers thats how it goes!AlpineF1 wrote:Why are people still obsessing about it Red Bull have won and there is NO penalty Vettel was not doing anything wrong and you cannot say todays performance was luck another drive from the back of the grid!!! a champions drive!!
You need to look again, Senna was on the racing line, Vettel was pushed wide by one of the FIs, got past the FI, and cut back across to join the racing line... which Senna was already on.AlpineF1 wrote:I was under the impression it was Sennas fault Vettel kept the racing line as nearly all his car was ahead and Senna wasnt thinking and just expected him to move.NathanOlder wrote:You have to say, He was lucky not to be out of the race after 4 turns. If Hamilton and Hulk had not crashed Alonso would have been 4th and loses the title regardless of Vettel's position. Alonso benefited much more from those incident..Cylinder wrote:A champions drive.......AlpineF1 wrote:Why are people still obsessing about it Red Bull have won and there is NO penalty Vettel was not doing anything wrong and you cannot say todays performance was luck another drive from the back of the grid!!! a champions drive!!
Crashing into another driver yet again when actually having to do some racing and getting unbelievably lucky that there was no suspension front wing damage at least on the car.
Then he had the torro rosso help him by refusing to overtake when Riccardo was faster.
Schumacher just jumped out of the way and gave up position, something i havent seen him do since his comeback...
Hamilton and Hulk crashing out.
lol
Now now Cylinder, Torro Rosso wouldnt of overtook but they didnt have the pace it was Sennas fault he crashed and i admit Schumi gave him the position but even if he didnt Vettel would still be champion so all in all Vettel was the drive of the day for meCylinder wrote:A champions drive.......AlpineF1 wrote:Why are people still obsessing about it Red Bull have won and there is NO penalty Vettel was not doing anything wrong and you cannot say todays performance was luck another drive from the back of the grid!!! a champions drive!!

Its the rules!! Senna should have backed offNathanOlder wrote:AlpineF1 wrote:I was under the impression it was Sennas fault Vettel kept the racing line as nearly all his car was ahead and Senna wasnt thinking and just expected him to move.NathanOlder wrote:You have to say, He was lucky not to be out of the race after 4 turns. He just turned in on Senna. What was Senna to do ? dissappear ?
Actually, no, the rule is that if any "substantial part" of the other car is along side, you must leave a car's width. Vettel did not.AlpineF1 wrote:Its the rules!!
