The mass distribution of the car in the lap time calculator is set at 46:54 Fr:Rr, as per the actual F1 2012 rules, so you should be aiming for a downforce distribution which is similar to this.. you may find that it is slightly beneficial to have a bit more rear downforce than that to aid in traction coming out of the corners....astracrazy wrote:whats that best split between front and rear downforce?
What i would say is that none of the cars had "too much" downforce; real F1 cars have Cl.A's of around 3 to 3.5, with Cd.A values of around 1.4 to 1.5.... So all the teams had the drag pretty much in the right ball-park, but need to improve efficiency to get more downforce....
That being said I think all the cars look great and far better than anything I could do!
