I think that would the Thai GP then, especially now since Dietrich´s partner died in March.
Would be a bit of an homage to him i guess.

(yes i know Red Bull Ring is their track but i think for an actual home race, Thailand is where it´s at)

From Wikipedia;
Red Bull is an energy drink sold by Austrian company Red Bull GmbH,
The drink itself might be 'founded' in Thailand, it is sold, and always was sold by the Austrian company Red Bull GmbH, therefore Austrian GP would be much more fitting

Red Bull´s history comes from Thailand, the guy who practically invented the drink is from Thailand.
He´s the co-founder and owned 51% of Red Bull.

Krating Daeng essentially means Red Bull. The very reason Red Bull exists is because of Thailand and Chaleo Yoovidhya.

Dietrich took that drink, modified it and then made it fit for the western world. But don´t forget the actual roots of the company.

Thailand has moved a step closer hosting its first Formula 1 race after agreeing a deal in principle for a 2014 event.

After speculation earlier this year that the country was serious at bidding for an F1 race, a senior government official has revealed that he and representatives from Red Bull moved forward with their plans after meeting F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone in Singapore.

Kanokphand Chulakasem, governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), said that the provisional plan agreed with Ecclestone was for a night race to be held in Bangkok as early as 2014.

"It will be a city race like in Singapore and Monaco. It will be a night race like the Singapore Grand Prix," he was quoted as saying by the Bangkok Post.

The discussions still have some way to go before becoming official, with Chulakasem stating that a race fee had yet to be agreed.

The Thai government has promised to fund 60 per cent of the total cost of the race, however, with the rest coming from local sponsors like Red Bull and Singha.
Thailand is very much the real home of Red Bull. Their base is in Austria but it´s definitely Thai in it´s core.

The A1 ring in 2003 to what Ive seen on TV id say would be 110,000+ there.

The cost of policing may be out the question. In the UK it costs roughly £100,000 per football match with 50,000 spectators. In Austria I am led to believe its 150% the cost of a comparable UK match. So that is 1.5M per 50,000, so make it £3m as a guess, thats €3.8m rounded up.
How do you come to that number? 150% of 100,000 is not 1.5 million...

Just 3db? It's a logarithmic scale, 117 dB is half the sound pressure of 120dB.

Most people don't know that and couldn't care less. Red Bull is 99.9(9)% marketing, the rest being drink. And the marketing part comes from the empire build by Dietrich Mateschitz. He treats it as an Austrian product, his main F1 team is officially Austrian too.

Well first of all i would like to say yes i agree, and it´s really sad that it is that way.

The empire built by Chaleo AND Dietrich. There´s a reason why Dietrich does not own the controlling stake in the company.

I think this thread was to talk about the circuit itself and not the history of controversy of Redbull . Anyways does any one have new pics and the layout of the circuit if the F1 goes there in 2013 ?

There's a bigger stand after turn 1

and some green areas around the circuit where ou can join the cows watching the race.
These areas, named "Bronze" at DTM, can be found here

So if the legal limitations maybe are suspended for F1 then the ring is capable of more spectators.
