Lotus E21 Renault

I think on most of the European mainland it's also Rexona.

Not that story again...
All the cars that have an obvious anti-fexing support (Ferrari, Toro Rosso, RedBull and Sauber) have a simple metallic one...

Probably for the cooling of the KERS that the driver sits on
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

No doubt about it this car looks very nice and is obviously fairly quick, I think quicker than they themselves are making out. But you have to worry about reliability more issues this morning with Gearbox, having the change. Could they have a very quick-unreliable car? From day one to me this car at least aero package wise, looks the nicest at the back and seems to have a nice smooth flow over the sidepods and the diffuser, I am certainly hoping to see them at the front.

I can't believe that Craig Scarborough didn't cover this car yet! I simply can't believe it! The only teams that he didn't cover are Marussia, Caterham, and guess which, Lotus! What is he doing? He doesn't seem as legit as before for chassis analysis. There are plenty of areas to be discussed on this car, the E21, but not a single character has been written by Craig.

As for gearbox... I don't know what to think. That wasn't a problem last year. This is already the second gearbox problem and that is quite unreliable considering that they are the team with fewest kilometers of testing. I really don't know. Is it new gearbox design comparing to 2012?

Gearbox was a problem last year too. Grosjean got at leat four 5 place penalty for changing it before the race and Raikkonen got one.

I have to correct my self. Yes, gearbox was problem last year too, but I think it wasn't that frequently as this year.

Yes.

I'm still puzzled by some aspects of the design of the rear of the car. Especially by the way that metallic vane (red) is placed. Someone could explain how that vane works ? It's obviously important in managing the airflow near the tires, but it seems to obstruct the way to the top of the diffuser... Looks like a compromise...
That was the serious part of my post. Now the less serious one:
Personally i would remove the back wall of the 'cross tunnel' (green). The 'ramp' would then 'levitate' above the floor and never touch it, so more air (blue) can flow freely toward the diffuser. And I would move the tunnel (yellow) forward. : P

(Made some mistakes in coloring the yellow tunnel)

2 hydraulic failures, 2 times anti roll bar failures and 4 to 5 times kers failure (kimi)

luckily, none of those failures make the car park on the track.
