Kers problem for Massa in FP2
Pat Fry:
This morning we worked on the evaluation of different aerodynamic configurations and set-up, and in the afternoon we are dedicated mainly to the comparison between the two types of compound, a decisive factor for the rest of the weekend.
What emerged was a particularly marked decline, but it was within our expectations and those of Pirelli. With both drivers have completed their programs of work scheduled for today, even though we had a faulty KERS on the car of Felipe during his run with the Supersoft in the second free practice session.
Now it is necessary to carefully analyze the data collected, in particular as regards the longer series of turns. We expect a lot of work and a long evening to prepare in the best way to qualifying tomorrow.
Fernando Alonso:
Overall it was a very productive Friday, we did a lot of laps and completed the first major analysis of the performance of the two compounds brought by Pirelli for this race.
This is also thanks to particularly favorable weather conditions, with sunshine and summer temperatures. From tomorrow, however, there is a completely different climate, with wind, rain and a significant drop in temperatures that could affect the race on Sunday. I do not expect big surprises here, we knew not to be the fastest and we confirmed it today. The car responded well but we know that there is still much to do if we want to fight with the best
Felipe Massa:
Two sessions were positive from all points of view, even though we are aware that we still have a lot of work both in this weekend for the season ahead. In the second session when I came out Supersoft something did not work properly with the KERS and this made me lose time, denying the possibility of a better ride.
I was not surprised by the performance recorded by the opponents, I was expecting a Red Bull competitive right from the start
This is a lot more positive compared to last year, very good!
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.
