well they at least know when to push, they have for now advantage over tires and that needs to be maximized. sure they lack a bit money devolopment over ferrari, mclaren and red bull, but good results in first few races, or part of season will bring them good sponsorship deal later. Let's not forget, they already needs to think on 2014. early car devolopment in 2013 sure helps them more then maybe later in season when you need devolop two cars in same moment.

This is quite interesting as during testing they lengthened the tunnel.

Absolutely amazing rate of development, one week after first race they have new diffuser, front wing, exhaust, it could even be called a B version of the car. I´m quite surprised and impressed with Lotus.

Even the bodywork around the rear suspension appears to have been tightened up a little.

Like red bull they finded way to seal airflow from sidepods to rear end. They also started with a bit lenght tunnel in Valencia, not so much big as Lotus, but bigger then their current is. That is nice sign to team to get airflow where they wanting it, and much more space on rear end for devoloping.

Not surprising at all. These components were probably designed after the second pre-season test.

It's still pretty amazing when you find out that Mclaren didnt bring nothing in Australia or Malaysia  And they are pretty famous for their great devoloping program :!:

McLaren has yet to understand/evaluate their car more imo, Lotus is bang on atm and so it's easier to bring on new things.
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel

Mclaren have huge setup problems with their peaky car. They're going to run the parts they understand best until they learn the car or can develop and manufacture parts that'll make the car behave as they want. No sense putting on new parts if it'll just confuse you on how the car works.

Mclaren said they were bringing regular updates and experimental updates to the car to Malaysia.
Just because we can´t see it doesn´t mean it´s not there.
