My optimism for Mercedes-AMG stems from the fact that the car is fast (granted, it is not yet the fastest) and the team seems to understand the car well and is able to fine tune and improve the car and dial out any unwanted qualities during the practice sessions.motobaleno wrote:IMHO there is a little bit too much optmism for mercedes and maybe too much pessimism for red bull around here

But what he did do was use his Q1 tyres in Q2, meaning he starts tomorrow with 2 sets of new options and 3 of new primes, with one set that's done Q1 AND Q2.
