In Malaysia, Lotus team principal Eric Boullier answered F1News.Ru readers' questions

Q: Demidov (Krasnoyarsk): Do you consider Robert Kubica as one of the candidates for the team in 2014?
Eric Boullier: If Robert will be completely ready for a return to Formula 1, he definitely will be among the candidates.

I can't help but to think about the medias that spitted on François Duval during so many years, and now nothing on Kubica which is doing a far worse job. Not only he always has a superior car than the others, but he can't stay on the road.

Yea sorry I just don't like to see cars smashed like this.
How many cars has he broken? Was'nt Collin MacRae famous for crashing a lot? This is his first rally, did you see the results from the first day? =D> Far superior car? But what about experience? :!: Let's at least wait five rallies before making any judegements.

Kubica receives Colin McRae ERC Flat Out Trophy

Grand prix winner Robert Kubica – a huge fan of Colin McRae’s when he was younger – has become the latest winner of the Colin McRae ERC Flat Out Trophy.

The Pole, making his FIA European Rally Championship debut on Rally Islas Canarias El Corté Ingles, had been leading the event until his accident on Saturday morning. Nonetheless, his attacking performance was judged to be absolutely in the spirit of the 1995 world rally chanmpion, and Kubica became the delighted recipient of the trophy in Gran Canaria.

“It’s a great pleasure for me to win this award,” said Kubica. “Of course Colin was a great driver and I have been supporting him when I was young. Normally winners are only at the finish but this trophy gives us a bit of satisfaction after this hard end and Colin is always in our hearts.”

He's hardly racing Loeb out there. And Kubica is a very experienced and talented racing driver. But Kimi Raikkonen wasn't exactly on rails either when he joined the WRC if I remember correctly, and he didn't have any physical impairment.

I haven't counted how many cars, it was more a joke than anything, but the fact is that nearly every rally now he crashes his car. It is not his first rally, why do you say that ? How do you think he had his hand incident ?

His car is much superior on the engine point of view. More torque at mid range and power, which makes a big difference in rallying. S2000 cars are fast, but very picky to drive. I think we have seen enough rallies to make a judgment here. He should go back to circuit racing.

Nothing wrong with the man, but this is deffo not his stuff, so better stop before falling off a cliff !

It's his first rally with some competition that counts, that's what I meant. The other rallies, he won plenty if I'm not misstaken, they were amateur rallies. I don't recall any big shunts except for the one were he sustained life threatening injuries.

I don't know about the cars, from what I've read they have different strenghts/weaknesses.

Have you read(autosport plus) what Petter Solberg is saying about Robert Kubica after his rally test earlier this year?

As I said, not ready to make any judgements before at least five rallies.

It 's always the same story... When he wins he 's the best (even a legend for some people :) )... When he crashs, he got to stop his career...
Come on guys let him showing some things with more races and then we'll see what's going on with him.

If everything is ok he will take over massa's seat or Raikonnen's seat because i don't think that kimi and his management will let kimi with lotus while they can have mark webber's seat and red bull money.... (I know i know this not speculation but just my dream :D )

If he was a cat he would be on his last life.
This is the only reason i would like to see him stop rallying and come back to circuit racing, like DTM this year and then see if F1 is still a viable option.

Agreed. Somehow he did'nt pick DTM, if I recall it correctly he wanted something more "challenging"(his words)?

Again, sorry ? His previous rallies were also against serious competitors, thanks for them ! And which rallies did he win, maybe you can help me ? I don't think he won PLENTY as you say.

Regarding crashes, here are few that I could remember (keep in mind he has less than 2 years in rallying):

- his very bad accident with his left hand problem

- his crash at the Rallye du Var where he was leading.

And his previous rallies were competed using much more superior cars than his opponents (you can check!) so where is the real challenge there ? Solberg is a nice guy :)

So I'm sorry, he has some speed, but let's see what he can do with a Peugeot 207 S2000 for example, and then I'll keep my mouth shut 5 rallies as you ask me ! The guy has proved nothing but that he has a big wallet !!

Thank u MadMatt
R u always so open to critics?
Just can't understand the hate comeing out of ur mouth...
If read more u could possibly understand the reasons behind his accidents and that is mostly to do with wrong pace notes.
U just simply can't accept that the guy is quick even one handed...
