*Just fixed tire issues*

"Let´s go for one stop less boys!" fail.

*probably solved a better Coanda exhaust allowing them to not carry 20kg´s extra of fuel*

"let´s underfuel the cars boys!" nearly a fail.

They seem quite bullish with only two races with a car that is genuinely a very good base to work from.

It´s very odd how he downshifts the car.
I know this had nothing to do with fuel saving because he did it in practice as well and the team even told him to downshift earlier.

Very peculiar.

Are you sure? I thought it was to keep the revs low while off throttle to save fuel. Or maybe its to save the engine.

Yea i´m positive the team radioed him during practice and told him to downshift earlier.
But he does it just before he needs to get on the throttle still. very strange.

Yes, he was over-heating his brakes, so they told him to downshift a little earlier to make more use of engine braking.

Yeah he was told to downshift earlier in practice but in this very instance he had to have been saving fuel. You would hear him lift off and leave it in the same gear rather than downshifting early and exaggerating the engine braking effect so he can coast a bit further....still weird sounding. And hamilton was sloppy as hell with his lines

Don't forget that nowadays earlier downshifts (under braking) will assist with stability, because there is extra exhaust gas pouring out thanks to the higher revs.

Well Ross Brawn told Sky he was operating the gearbox outside of tolerance in terms of downshifting timing, and it was potentially a car-breaker, but there you go.

Rosberg was doig that?
Strange.. I would expect Hamilton to be doing that in the new car. The engine maps for the Benz must have been more Mclaren like than what was in the W03.

Some questions:
1. If they start on wet/intermediate tyres and afterwards is dry and everybody went onto slicks then is a rule stating you must run both tyre compounds?
2. Why Lewis run out of fuel?
a) They gambled on a wet race?
b) Or a pace car situation?
c) Or maybe they don`t figured it out how much fuel needs their Coanda exhaust system?
3. Does anybody know from which lap he was forced to run a fuel economy engine mapping, coz based on the lap times, seems to me he did that after lap 31 … http://184.106.145.74/f1-championship/f ... alysis.pdf
4. Anyway if they had in mind that the final stint should be a cruising one why they decided to run option tyres then?
5. On lap 31 Hamy went onto the prime-hard tyre and he could manage only 10 laps, but with option tyres he did a 14 lap first stint when the car was heavy. There was a problem with this set of hards? Inadequate pressure or they modified FW AoA?
6. What`s the delta speed between a car with DRS on and a car with an off one?
7. Why Hamy has Carbon Industries carbon disks and what`s the difference between these and Rosberg`s Brembo is using?
8. Who was on a dry setup and who was on a partial or full wet setup?

Seeing the true picture of the present Formula 1, I`m on the side of those who want to see pure racing and not drivers who are cruising and nursing their tyres.
Having said that I will follow the demanding need for a decreasing Formula 1 budgets, knowing we are facing a world in deep crisis, therefore I am calling for a petition to FIA stating the following amendments:
a) At any race there will be at least 3 mandatory pit stops.
b) There will be only one compound of tyre for the whole weekend: FP1, FP2, FP3, Q and race.
c) The tyres must last half of the race distance or at least 20 laps with a delta time loss between the first one and the last one somewhere in the range of .5 and 1 sec.

1. No, because it's a ''wet race''.
2. Because they underfueled his car, they expected more SC periods>saves fuel.
2.a/b. Both
3. Hamilton said from lap 25.
4. Because the option tyre works better for them than the hard tyre.
5. Mercedes have problems with their balance on the hard tyre.
6. Don't know.
7. Rosberg is using the same disks as Hamilton. Hamilton is used to the carbon ones.
8. Ask Ross Brawn.

Thanx dude, but how about your opinion regarding my petition?
I mean the sport needs more durable tyres so all drivers could drive at 100%, don`t you think?
If a driver is overtaken it would be because he's not fast enough, not because he has to turn down to let say 80% and coast home coz the tyres may delaminate.

Do we have data on how many times DRS was used by each car?
I feeel rosberg's fuel savings may be as a result of running in clean air and also the use of DRS.

For some reason he had many faster laps, but i guess his slower laps were very slow, which negated any gains in track position.
For Sure!!
