12000 active members? Seriously? There are around 12000 registered members, of which there is a crapload which didnt post, a crapload with only 1-2 posts You call that active? Also there are double accounts of users forgetting their password etc. etc. and so on.
I took a look at the member list and sorted it on number of userposts.
From page 171 till 395 these were all users without posts. And also 25 from page 170 had zero posts.
There are 30 users per page, and 224 pages of users without posts.
So we do 30x224=6720+25=6745
So more than half the userbase consists of users without posts(spam accounts or not, they are users). According to your logic, they didnt post here so they must agree with the voting system. Yeah, right. That is just a really nice way of making the numbers look better for you.
so we now do 11842(the amount of registered users)-6745 = 5097
So there are 5097 users with at least 1 post.
So there are 10 of 5097 users that complain, that is 0.196%(god I hope I did the calculations right).
But then, from the 5097 users, there are still a lot of users with 1 post, let's remove those from the total.
on page 170 there are 5 users with 1 post, on page 122 there are 2 of them
So from page 123 till 169 are users with only 1 post.
That is 46x30=1380+7=1387
So there are still 1387 users with only 1 post, I dont call them active.
So that makes 5097-1387=3710 users
So 10 from those 3710 users disagree with the rating system. That is 0.269%
So from the userbase only 3710 are actually "active", 31.33% of the userbase has more than 1 post.
I think my calculations on how unreasonable your statement is are clear enough, I could go further since I dont call a person with lower than 10 posts active.
