Hey Ferrari are using this very engine cover in both AUS & Mal GP even Alonso and Massa differ their version. Some time Alonso use it or Massa. But in the race they both use the Triangular shaped engine cover. Guessing that Ferrari will ultimately switch to the Slit engine cover caz it better flow of hot rad gas without any restriction.Hail22 wrote:It would be great if we could get a photo of the rear of the car showing the rear vent of the engine cover...its new that's for sure as I noticed the opening at the rear is a slim slit rather than a triangular opening...
All we can really tell is that it is not necessarily a problem. There were a lot of times when a purpoising car is still pretty fast. The cause is probably a difference in front/back stiffness of the car.Smokes wrote:Why was massa car Purpoising so much over the bumps on the faster lap slow motion replays.
Thanks

Yes, they ran both the old and new versions to compare. I saw shots of the mechanics swapping them out on Alonso's car during FP2.muelte wrote:Were the new tripple element turning vanes under the nose used today?
