Lotus E21 Renault

that's my guess.
Sauber and RBR arent even close when it comes to size of sidepods. Only thing is that RBR has the same size on their sidepod intake.

So they are bringing a new bodywork ? it's interesting and I wonder what part of the bodywork they mean... I don't think they are just changing the shape of the rear cooling outlet; in that case they wouldnt call the new changes 'big'. If they're changing the middle part of the 'engine'cover', that means they must change the design of the ramp+tunnel too hence the size of the tunnel is restricted...
Or are they changing the shape of the sidepods and/or their intakes ? :-k

I heard a rumor Lotus are bringing something very trick to Silverstone, the only component I believe it could be is the DRD.

Q:
What upgrades are there for the car?

Alan Permane:
We have a tighter, figure-hugging bodywork package which should give some benefit; especially if the weather is quite cool at Silverstone. There's a new front wing, suspension profiles and suspension upgrades in addition to various other aero upgrades, which combine to give us what should be our biggest step forward of the year. This is a good thing, of course, but we'll be running them in the context of all our rivals probably unveiling significant upgrade packs too. We conducted a couple of days of straight-line running after Canada with positive results and some of the fruits of this work should be seen in Silverstone.

If they do finally decide to bring/test/run their DRD I would be very interested in watching it. Not that i'm personally hoping for the E21 to make a big jump in speed but rather to see if the mythical system itself actually delivers any meaningful gains (although with all of the other upgrades they're bringing it could well be something else!). After all of the conjecture and the on again/off again testing of the system by a variety of teams over the last 6 months it would be nice to finally get some answers!

As much as I would like that I somewhat doubt they'll run DRD. Since they are introducing major upgrade i guess they will be evaluating aero. Where's time for DRD there?
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

I think we'll see the DRD during the YDT.

in this article blogf1.it say that lotus will run DRD at Silverstone. It seems they have an insider at enstone, so this could be true
