Red Bull RB9 Renault

They're not vortex generators - they're there to pick up tyre debris and prevent it from catching on the flap separators. By catching/deflecting the rubber early, they reduce the damage caused to the airflow through the slot gaps. Result is a better performing wing during the race.

VGs need some form of lateral flow to create vortices. These little triangles look like VG but aren't subjected to lateral flow so won't create vortices. They will, however, deflect rubber chunks. If the chunks catch on the slot gap separators seen further downstream, they would build up to block to slot gaps. The result would be portions of stalled front wing.
While that may be a side effect I would highly doubt that. They are spaced to wide to catch chunks that can easily block up the slot gaps. Second, if you look closely they are set at a slight lateral angle to the airflow which would cause them to generate vortex's. Therefore their primary purpose is probably that of a vortex generator.

Wouldnt they have more effect under yawing conditions? My thought was that under yaw they create vortices which are then sent under the front wing, probably keeping flow attached.

Did anyone notice Seb changed steering wheel over 30 times in free practice?

Special rim made by OZ for Red Bull to check tolerances between the brake basket & the rim itself.

Piola says Red Bull have changed the geometry of the upper wishbone on the rear suspension in Silverstone.

There are rumors that Red Bull is using a new type of resin for the rear part of the undertray in order to be able and direct the hot exhaust gases earlier to the floor without loosing material strength.
Would it be an idea to use metal for the undertray to prevent damage?

On the matter of why Webber's wheel came loose in the first place:

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/108722
...led to the gun slipping in his hand as he removed the nut. This slippage led to the 'go' trigger – which is sent to the jack men to indicate that that wheel is attached – being accidentally depressed by the gun man's thumb.

probably a change to a BMI resin. It would appear more of a reddish gold than a normal epoxy resin if that is the case.

actually looking at this picture I would say the reddish area by the tail pipe is BMI
