Looking out of the window in the direction of Silverstone, it's sunny. High level broken cloud. Should be a nice day :D
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

Looks like we need some more secret tyre tests to solve the tyre safety problems!
Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

They succesfully made alterations to the bonding process: instead of just the rubber layer being ripped off, now the complete tyre delaminates, leaving nothing on the rim. Well done Pirelli #-o .

Damage to Perez car:
-Brake ducts destroyed
-Floor heavily damaged
-Light damage to the suspension, possibly to the gearbox
-Light damage to the rear wing.

It also happened on the part of the circuit where cars get to have the biggest load. No way this is a puncture.

McLaren should send an invoice to Pirelli for all these.
"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

Are these the tires with the new bonding process, or are the prototype ones that have it?

The prototypes are the same ones as the barcelona prototypes. I think they already adapted the bonding process, as this does not change anything to material or construction of the tyres.

I hope McLaren fix Sergios car I'm a huge McLaren fan. But more then that I hope during the race we don't see any more tyre explosions.

In traffic at race pace this could be worse.

McLaren :/ not a good year every race I watch but every race I'm sad let down and disappointed .
I hope we don't turn into Williams. The once great team...

What makes you think there's "no way" this is a puncture?

This seems entirely consistent with what was claimed to be going on – that the tyre got punctured, but didn't fail due to the steel tread, and then failed when it was under the highest load, and already damaged.

Alonso looks like he is slow. Why? Are updates here?
