Why? Several drivers got punctures and it appeared to be a lottery as to who got them and when. Nico uses the kerbs as much as Lewis does.

I don't understand why they didn't call Kimi to change the tires when the SC came out.

Tyres were fine in a every other race, bad craftsmanship from the Brits on the curbs part

Lotus a joke on every level. This time tactical master-stroke not to pit. Witness X was probably afraid of public scolding by a driver who knows best. Although in their defence pitting would force Raikkonen to make some overtakes and they know despite all marketing noise how reliable that would be.

If they think Raikkonen can touch Alonso or Hamilton in a similar machinery than this season is going to be even more fun watching. Lots of whining over the radio that other drivers don't disappear, bad starts, trademark lost positions in opening laps, sloppy overtaking or lack thereof and passive, I'm sorry I mean "patient" driving.

Mercedes and RB magically solved their tyre problems during the season. At least they'll stop yapping about it.

Great little battle between DiResta and Hamilton. The rest awful fake racing

Rosberg said he had a puncture that was found in a stop and that he got lucky.

Its good that Vettel suffer DNF to let Alonso and Kimi close up on the championship.

As I said :
- either they are afraid to say something for fear of being scolded by a driver that knows best

- or they know how reliable relying on several quick, decisive overtakes from Raikkonen can be (Malaysia, China cough, cough, and all those one stop strategies).

.....the tyres were not 'fine' for every other race. Not by a long chalk. The tyres have long had a delamination problem, and that was supposed to have been in Mercedes's much vaunted 'Pirelli' test. Rather than just a delamination we've now got a full blown tyre blow up. Absolute amateur hour.

The last time they were in similar machinery Kimi beat those two to the title :)

What an absolute load of utterly desperate tosh. I see this forum just keeps on getting better............... Sorry, just have to have a good belly laugh. Raikkonen will have made up his mind right there.

One thing that's reinforced again today... Never count Alonso out. I couldn't watch the race; so don't know how he managed to get to 3rd but I'm happy for him. Any opinion on how was his race pace and whether he made place by his drive or safety cars + retirements?
Finishing second is being the first one of losers....

Rosberg won the race but Hamilton will leave the track with his head the highest of the drivers along with Webber. Great recovery's. Leave it to Silverstone to spice up the championship. Usually that's Canada's job. Great race for the wrong reasons. How many drivers actually had failing tires? Rosberg, Vettel and Alonso did I heard just caught them in time. Once again tires are trouble.
