As it stands at the moment this is clearly red bull's race to loose. Only lotus looks like a proper chalenger. Kimmi's fastest lap was on his 3rd timed lap but it was much later in the session than RBs with much more rubber put down already. Ferrari looks kinda good as well. Mercs less so, even on 1lap pace which is suprising.

A bit of overreaction with RB dominance predictions? Without Mercedes (a bit of a surprise) they were always favourites to start in front and everyone knew it's a huge advantage in Hungary. Nothing new. Yes, their long run pace is good but not miles ahead and it won't transfer 1:1 into the race. Ferrari better than expected, Lotus solid and faster over one lap but they will blow it probably. RB favourites but something might happen in the race or at least there's a possibility of a closer albeit boring race.

Unless Mercedes is holding back RBR should drive into the sunset...

All the more reason to switch allegiance to the FIA WEC come 2014 =D> .

I think most of us here have had enough of the boring "domination eras"

Schumacher, now quite possibly Vettel. I would much rather see a 2006, 2007 and 2008 scenarios / Championship battles rather than what we have been treated with...heck give me Rene Arnoux vs Gilles Villeneuve where has the wheel to wheel mongrel gone?
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

*looks at you curiously while munching sour grapes* :)

At the end of the day...I do not really care who wins...and how...so long as its not Seb...sure in a few years...but not every single year...it just looks like repeats of "Bold and the Beautiful".

Well to be honest if they take Kimi to RedBull we will find out if Seb is a great driver. Or if its the car like when Prost had the best car but they put Senna next to him and nothing. Or like Button in 2009. This is good if Seb beats Kimi then we will know.

But until then the sport could use other teams stepping it up. Right now they (RedBull) just have to keep winning. Its not their fault. Ferrari hasnt been giving Alonso a great car but last season he pushed Vettel till the end in a BAD car.

McLaren fails on its own.... McLaren is its own worst enemy.

Lotus does a great job but they need more funding if sponsors could just keep backing them and they have the right driver I think they can win.

Mercedez needs to keep up this momentum.

If McLaren takes its head out of our own...
And the other teams keep getting better.

2014 could be a season where you have an open Championship and where the driver not machine will give you a tittle.

Maybe but until then RedBull will keep winning. McLaren had Its era In the 80's Ferrari in the 90's. (Recent history) so why not. Im a McLaren fan lets see how well Honda works for us in 2015.

So to conclude yes we are in a RedBull era and there is nothing wrong with that such is the nature of the sport.

What do you think about Perez's gearbox? Was it damaged by the crash?
