This is the best image I've been able to find of the new/er rear brake ducts since they've been introduced a few GP's ago. Very interesting the triangular shape/diagonal element at the top, quite different to other cars. Sure wish we had a view from overhead and a view up close from the front. Still, lots of detail in this image. Cheers.

Yes, it was. Fernando's said via radio that he had too much understeer with the damaged FW.

Don't forget that understeer costs you odles of time in India, where there is the mammoth T10/11 and the many fast chicanes. Monza doesn't really need much front downforce.

The leading edge of this beam wing on the F138 is much thicker than anything they've used thus far this year. Can't be for 2014 because there are no more beam wings. The contour of the rest of the wing is similar to other iterations used this season but the leading edge is huge in comparison to other versions.

While the beam wing does appear to have a thicker leading edge than other teams, I don't think it is as thick ad you make it out to be. This is because it seems to have a "spoon" wing shape. The relative characteristics of these types of wings are high downforce at comparatively low speeds, very high drag co-efficients and smooth predictable stall characteristics. The wing stalls gradually loosing lift rather than loosing lift (downforce) over a large portion immediately.

This indicated that Ferrari are trying to get high downforce at low speeds while making the rear end predictable with the benign stall characteristics of the wing

On the F138 the damaged part is more structural than on the RB. In the photo of the F138 the last flap is "flattened"
