Vettels pole lap was crap. S1 and S2 very bad. I think thats why he was freaking out right after he crossed the line. He never thought that he would make it. If Renault doesn't f**k up in 2014 "The Vettel show" will probably continue.

I really hope Maldonado get's kicked out of F1 asap. I start to hate this guy.

Yes, it's quite clear that he doesn't have a clue how to set up a car properly.

His feedback regarding setup resumes at "Everyhing is wrong".

Not a bad result for Heikki, P8 in his first qualifying and in a new car! Hope that in the race he can move up some places. Would be great for Romain to come P3 in the race.

For all that bad things to be said for him, Romain has really matured as a driver, and his pace is really shining through lately. Lotus made a good call giving him a second chance this year.

What do you expect from a guy who has managed to crash his car during a showrun in his own country?

Pirelli hampering the performance of a lot of drivers and teams today. Pirelli is doing are really poor job this season. Can't they make tyres that grip and last for 15-20 laps. Its like lottery this season, can't remember bridgestone having issues with grip between their different compounds. Looking at FP2 those hards tyres will go on forever.
Pirelli for gods sake just make tyres that have grip and last only for 15-20 laps so everybody is happy......

Today I heard on sky: ''insert driver name'' can't do another quali lap, because his tyres are gone. I realised today how --- the current tyre situation is.

Interesting top speeds after qualy : http://www.formula1.com/results/season/ ... _trap.html
- top 10 speeds (ok 11) were 6 Merc engines with only 2 drivers on top 10 places on the grid and their cars are placed below 5th spot on the grid
- in the last 8 top speeds there are 6 Renault engines with 5 drivers on top 10 and their drivers has had places between 1st and 4th on the grid ... the 5th one, Bottas, went for a low DF setup and landed on the 9th place on the grid, unfortunately for him ...

Good show for Sauber in their quest for sponsors in general and for Hulk in particular for his next year seat but I think they compromised their race setup more for the qualy this time ...

Hamy was hampered in his first attempt on the second run in Q3 by Grosjean when he was leaving the pits ... Bottas managed to get past and went for a go but Lewis backed off or was told to do so and afterwards was telling via radio that he should have done it coz he thought he needed a second hot lap on his last attempt ...
Meanwhile Rosberg reported that is something strange on the back of his car and maybe after Abu Dhabi is his time around now ... anyway his setup is clearly geared for a one stop strategy ...

And for Vettel he was instructed by Rocky in FP3 and did the fewest numbers of laps today ... what's the reason behind that? eingine, KERS, gearbox or alternator preserving ?

... and about Pirelli tyre situation I've heard that Paul Hembery said that we must have at least 2 mandatory pit stops for tyre change ... maybe he heard my proposition

Because of the gearbox..."it doesn't look so healthy" Vettel said. They will open the gearbox and check it for damages in the evening. So maybe, if they have to change the gearbox, he will start from 6th.

Where can I find the sector times of Vettel and Webber?
The commentators said Vettel was 0.5s down after S2, and then I stopped following the live timings.

No, he was 0.25 down after S2. Webber cocked up the last sector badly. You could see that in his lap time – he was 0.5 up on his previous time after S2, but then only 0.2 up after S3, so he lost at least 0.3 seconds on himself even in the last sector.

Lewis Hamilton has good straight line speed compared with the drivers around him on the grid.

I wonder if Grosjean were to get passed one of the Red Bulls tomorow at the start, if he shouldn't be better of (off?) letting Webber by again on the first lap and letting them race eachother...
Thank you really doesn't really describe enough what I feel. - Vettel
