I am actually quite surprise to see Newey attending races. Are they testing 2014 already?

Probably
In Austin FP 1 Ted Kravitz said RBR might be testing the 2014 Parts with Sebastian Vettel with his Long run.

Ferrari was having a go at some new aerodynamic tweak of the brake duct Marc Surer believed. I'm pretty sure the FiA will have a look at it considering you are not supposed to have aerodynamic effects there.

Looks like both Red Bull and Ferrari has the vortices originating from the same place.

Some teams were caught on the back foot with the strategy this week choosing a mild tyre setup for the race and in qualy didn't have enough energy to put into the tyres in order to heat them up for a optimum window operation ...
So what I have in mind is that some aggressive drivers e.g. Hamy could forget a little bit about tyre management and have a go hopping for a better race?

Lauda said on RTL after qualy that Merc. and other teams has a small operation window after the summer with introduction of the old 2012 construction tyre together with 2013 compounds and the only team that has widen this window was only RBR and that's the main reason behind their qualy and most of all race pace ...

Such is the result in F1 of having the best driver paired with the best designer and unlimited funds.

Amazing for the sport, not so great for the show.
Why on earth is this amazing for the sport ?

Sports about competition, this is a walkover, I'm not having a dig a Vettle or RB - they've not put a foot wrong, but this is not my idea of great sport.

Sports is about performance, not about competition. The show is about competition.

It's like when Senna was in the McLaren, they were over a second a lap faster than everyone else, same here. Vettel's car is at least a second a lap faster than his closest competitor. When you have that much margin you don't need strategy, you don't need luck, you don't need even need to push. In Abu Dhabi, Alonso was only .350 faster than Vettel at the end of the race, and Vettel's tires were worn and Alonso had relatively fresh softer compounds fitted. The Red Bull is just too fast, if the difference was a couple tenths we could attribute it to the driver, but an easy one second per lap gap is more than just the driver being on point. I don't know if the car is legal or not, apparently it is, but somehow the Red Bull can put the power down sooner than any other car.

Every car on the grid uses the brake ducts for aerodynamic effects.

Vettel is not like Senna.
Vettel is like Schumi.
He Schumi drover around with traction control on his car.
Vettel drives arround in a device that is like traction control.

Either way he has fitted on his car a device that nobody else on the field has not even webber.... Or who knows maybe he has it too now.... Maybe that why we see these 1&2 by redbull now a days...
But anyways go ahead and hate me for pointing out that Sebbs car has a device that nobody else does and it makes his car go faster.

Senna drove his ass around track finding more and more time pushing to the limit. Until he was 2 sometimes seconds faster then everyone else...

proof? didnt think so.

This constant accusation of cheating is getting rather old. Someones car is faster than my favorite driver they must be cheating. This is F1 technical come with proof or at least a good idea of how it could work or dont come.

I heard RoGro punched Kimi in the back so he wouldn't be in the last few races. Perez is taking south american performance enhancing drugs. Williams is fueling with liquified tungsten on the last pit stop to make weight.
