Theoretically everyone should be closer here as it's a shorter lap.SectorOne wrote:I think Mercedes will be closer here but only in Qualifying.
I think Rosberg or Hamilton can fight for pole here actually.
Assuming they go back to their qualy setup there's an outside shot for that.SectorOne wrote:I think Mercedes will be closer here but only in Qualifying.

I'm not sure you can read too much into the qualifying at Austin, the conditions were bizarre and lots of drivers were struggling with the tyres.Sevach wrote:Assuming they go back to their qualy setup there's an outside shot for that.SectorOne wrote:I think Mercedes will be closer here but only in Qualifying.

Whatever they ran at Austin, put Hamilton behind Lotus and around Hulkenberg and Alonso...
And in Rosberg's case a lot worst than that...
Obviously. But i don´t think they will be closer because it´s a shorter lap.Jonnycraig wrote:Theoretically everyone should be closer here as it's a shorter lap.SectorOne wrote:I think Mercedes will be closer here but only in Qualifying.

Dont forget the 2011 epic Canadian race!raymondu999 wrote:If this is a dry race, this will be the driest season I've seen in a LOOOONG time... We've only had 7 wet race laps the whole year!
I miss wet races where the slicks don't appear (i.e. only inters and wets) - been a while since we had those. Korea 2010 is my last count
There was also the rather 'questionable' decision to not give Button a second DT for punting Alonso out of the race.raymondu999 wrote:No I actually didn't like 2011 Canada. I hate races of attrition. I want everyone to finish the race, and no slicks to appear (we did get the supersofts on in Canada)
Never heard anybody else question that before, if a punishment had been given then it would have just led to F1 becoming even more daft with its racing incident punishments.Jonnycraig wrote:There was also the rather 'questionable' decision to not give Button a second DT for punting Alonso out of the race.raymondu999 wrote:No I actually didn't like 2011 Canada. Eh? He kamikazed Alonso and spun him into the wall, it was ironically a more obvious penalty than the one he did get, described as much by Brundle & Coulthard.ChrisF1 wrote:Never heard anybody else question that before, if a punishment had been given then it would have just led to F1 becoming even more daft with its racing incident punishments.Jonnycraig wrote:There was also the rather 'questionable' decision to not give Button a second DT for punting Alonso out of the race.raymondu999 wrote:No I actually didn't like 2011 Canada. I think Vettel would rather chew on his own proverbials than let win even if Webber "deserves" it, it would help his image though and he is working on that. I don't see him doing it, too painfull ( letting Webber win that is).CHT wrote:my prediction is that if Vettel lead and webber close behind, vettel will let webber pass to win the race
