Whatever weather gods there are out there please let there be rain. I really want to watch a wet race this season.

I think Mercedes will be closer here but only in Qualifying.
I think Rosberg or Hamilton can fight for pole here actually.

Theoretically everyone should be closer here as it's a shorter lap.

On a serious note, 2010 was the only time in these regs that 1-3 were split by more than 0.3 when Hulkenberg was in pole by a second. 2-4 were split by 0.3.

Friday looks very wet so they probably won't get much testing done though

If all the tyres are going to be really conservative next year are there still going to be 4 different compounds?

Assuming they go back to their qualy setup there's an outside shot for that.

Whatever they ran at Austin, put Hamilton behind Lotus and around Hulkenberg and Alonso...
And in Rosberg's case a lot worst than that...

I'm not sure you can read too much into the qualifying at Austin, the conditions were bizarre and lots of drivers were struggling with the tyres.

Obviously. But i don´t think they will be closer because it´s a shorter lap.

I miss wet races where the slicks don't appear (i.e. only inters and wets) - been a while since we had those. Korea 2010 is my last count
Dont forget the 2011 epic Canadian race!

I miss when wet races WERE wet races, before Whiting(and most of the racers) became fearful guys. :x

It is expected rain for all the weekend, but as other guy has mentioned f1s official site always same the same thing. Anyway being Brazil I think that at least there will be some showers, and consequently some (lovely) chaos.

My prediction:

1. Vettel (or Webber if Rb and the German show some respect to the australian)
2. Webber
3. Grosjean
4. Hulkenberg
5. Massa
6. Hamilton
7. Alonso

What I would like to see:

1. Hulkenberg (with rain, being Brazil and with the good pace that Sauber is having recently who knows...)
2. Grosjean
3. Perez (because he deserves it)
4. Massa
5. Maldonado
6. Webber
7. Alonso
8. Vettel

I would also like to see Webber winning this last race but...

No I actually didn't like 2011 Canada. I hate races of attrition. I want everyone to finish the race, and no slicks to appear (we did get the supersofts on in Canada)

There was also the rather 'questionable' decision to not give Button a second DT for punting Alonso out of the race.

Never heard anybody else question that before, if a punishment had been given then it would have just led to F1 becoming even more daft with its racing incident punishments.

Eh? He kamikazed Alonso and spun him into the wall, it was ironically a more obvious penalty than the one he did get, described as much by Brundle & Coulthard.

I think Vettel would rather chew on his own proverbials than let win even if Webber "deserves" it, it would help his image though and he is working on that. I don't see him doing it, too painfull ( letting Webber win that is). :)
