Ferrari F14T

It might be ugly, but it doesn't look terrible aero-wise, too early for doom and gloom from those upset purely by aesthetics.

That's the "hooked" bulkhead with a vortex attached to it.

Ferrari Making a massive gamble with tight sidepod packaging especially with cooling but important for the turbo and ers package with the engine. I haven't seen anything that blow's me away on the Ferrari, but I think all the car's will start looking very different straight away as they will be bolting on different parts etc.

Re: Ferrari 2014 Car Pre-launch Speculation

Imho this is an extremely conservative launch design and nothing more. The only advantage i currently see in such design is less air turbulence.
What if I told you the idea behind the high nose wasn't the nose, but the tub height? The idea which started in recent years and follows something rather simple; Air that flows under the tub can be shielded from the negative effects of the front tires. And everything under the tub, the hump, pillars and vanes, are designed to pull air in under the tub. And this idea will continue on.

Ferrari, as shown in the image has it's pillars turned in rather aggressively, this will invite air to go under the tub where it will be shielded from the tire wake.

It is nice to see such varieties of the front ends on the beginning of the season, but somehow I expect that all cars (or at least top contenders) become more similar as season progresses.

Beauty considerations apart (my God, that nose is ugly  ) I don't see the point of not exploiting the new regulations for the nose like McLaren or Lotus did.
Why such a little air inlet between the nose and the front wing and such a steep cavity under the nose? Is it possible they try to implement some sort of "front diffuser" under the nose, working along the front wing, redirecting part of the flow to the sidepods? #-o Too crazy, but... Just my two cents.

Did somebody noticed? I think yes, but still. It looks like some cooling outlet.

A, B - it's clearly visible
C - not so clear, but still some shadow is visible
D - it's from the perspective picture, almost invisible

SommersF1 thinks those openings on the engine cover bleed air and route it over to those small openings over exhaust pipe.

How much downforce does this nose produce compared with Lotus and McLaren nose?
Is it possible that Ferrari decided that nose produces some downforce, so that they can use front wing more to redirect air under the tub?
