A second timed lap of the day as Jean-Eric Vergne, the only driver currently on track, records a 1:43.2 - almost ten seconds shy of Hamilton's solitary timed lap
Red Bull's maiden run with the RB10 has been delayed - by nearly three hours so far - by what Newey refereed to as a "silly problem" overnight. However, that aside. the legendary designer admitted when asked about the lack of running completed by the whole field so far that "it was always likely this was going to be the case" owing to the sheer number of fresh challenges F1's rules revolution presents.

He said that chances are really small.
I really didn't anticipate that it would be this brutal for the teams. I feel really sorry for LotusF1, by the looks of things they will still be in test-mode come race day in Melbourne. McLaren,Red Bull and Williams haven't even come out the garage. Ferrari only done 3 laps. Never imagined that the new power-unit would cause so many gremlins.astracrazy wrote:i knew testing was going to be bad this week but this is something else. seems like Merc has hit the ground running....
