You should look for the last year weather conditions too...

A second timed lap of the day as Jean-Eric Vergne, the only driver currently on track, records a 1:43.2 - almost ten seconds shy of Hamilton's solitary timed lap

Red Bull's maiden run with the RB10 has been delayed - by nearly three hours so far - by what Newey refereed to as a "silly problem" overnight. However, that aside. the legendary designer admitted when asked about the lack of running completed by the whole field so far that "it was always likely this was going to be the case" owing to the sheer number of fresh challenges F1's rules revolution presents.

Sunny, 3-18 °C air, 5-25 °C track.

BTW, Schumacher did a 1:15,614 in 2004.

Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

RBR news
Christian Horner said that RBR only began its FIA crash test programme 10 days ago - a lot later than most rivals
Adrian Newey confirmed that RBR has various nose options. They call the launch one the keel nose.

Regarding http://www.f1tests.info, as I made translation of site for Serbian language I had kruvas mail and I have asked 3 days ago if he will cover 2014 testing and he replied that sources to collect timing are not available to him this year, so it is highly unlikely that we will se that site working. He said that chances are really small.

Testing is officially ruined  , instead of quality service - "exclusive" TV coverage with talking heads and live tickets saying the same - nothing.

i knew testing was going to be bad this week but this is something else. Most of the teams can't even get out the garage door.

seems like Merc has hit the ground running....

I really didn't anticipate that it would be this brutal for the teams. I feel really sorry for LotusF1, by the looks of things they will still be in test-mode come race day in Melbourne. McLaren,Red Bull and Williams haven't even come out the garage. Ferrari only done 3 laps. Never imagined that the new power-unit would cause so many gremlins.
Irvine:"If you don't have a good car you can't win it, unless you are Michael or Senna. Lots of guys won in Adrian Newey's cars, big deal. Adrian is the real genius out there, there is Senna, there is Michael and there is Newey. They were the three great talents."

merc, unlikely all other teams, already completed 40 laps at silverstone
so today they can skip a whole installation phase that other teams must do
