are you able to appreciate where hot air exactly exits?gandharva wrote:Seems Newey wants all hot air he can get from engine and cooling near the diffusor.
That is the cover for the drive shaft that also functions as the lower suspension member. The rear wing is not attached to that. The rear wing is attached to the top of the diffuser.slovik1024 wrote:Yes it seems to be lower than before and connected to crask structureDarkJRO wrote:the rearwing seems to be connected to the rear-crashstructure. looks like a beam wing, only just narrower
Right before the new "beamwing". Looks like it's all centralized with the outlet itself as low as possibe.motobaleno wrote:are you able to appreciate where hot air exactly exits?gandharva wrote:Seems Newey wants all hot air he can get from engine and cooling near the diffusor.

The rotating drive shaft it covers isn't, so it is of benefit...gandharva wrote:Aero neutral. Of course!dren wrote:That's not a beam wing, it's an aero neutral drive shaft cover/suspension member.
It looks like the rear wing is attached to the floor and also by the small support.DarkJRO wrote:yeah, my bad. seems my eyes are playing tricks on me.dren wrote:That's not a beam wing, it's an aero neutral drive shaft cover/suspension member. They have had one for a few years now.
but so i still can't believe the wohle rear wing is held by that little tiny support on the engine cover
