Following a PM on the subject I thought I should post another chart for Magny Cours to help you guys design yours cars... the lines of equal downforce look quite steep on the Magny Cours chart... which would seem to suggest a low downforce arrangement would be best, however if you take the wings off an F1 car you'll find that the downforce:drag efficiency drops off pretty quick... probably to the point where with no downforce at all the Cd.A is going to be around the 0.9 sort of figure... because an F1 car shape is fairly "draggy" due to the big exposed tyres.
If we take two cars from the Monaco results and plot them on the Magny Cours graph... CSR's high downforce (and higher drag) car compared to LB Racing's Much lower downforce (and lower drag) car . CSR's car would be quicker as shown by the chart.... (I've assumed that both designs have been tweaked to achieve COP = 1.83 without changing the other coefficients)
I would suggest that ideally you would all have three versions of your car (low, medium and high downforce versions) which you could use to help decide how much downforce you need at each race... however, in the absence of that it is worth using the designs of your fellow competitors to help you decide which set up is best for each race.....
