So much for the race specific upgrade, seem's as if they are saving up there upgrades for Canada and silverstone then? where they will need to have better straightline speed and more downforce for high speed corner's. If they don't bring anything worthwhile and substantial to Canada im pretty much writing off McLaren for this season. They might be doing the same? plus I don't understand yet what they mean by the statement going radical after silverstone if they don't see any progress.Thunders wrote:I agree i have doubts too. Maybe it was just my Hope vor visual Updates speaking.

They better learn their mistakes this time because there are not large areo-changes to next year!!!!!!mclaren111 wrote:Scarbs said that McLaren is the only team that takes the internal hot compressed air forwards - chimneys at front of sidepods - and the radiators are not facing forwards. Obviously this is not working to well, and seems they can not get it to work.
This will take a lot of time if they are to re-design this and I agree that if it not done by Silverstone, they will not do it. =D>
All they have really done so far is new FW, front & rear brake ducts, rear suspension arm and small aero detail bits to FW, defuser and rear duct area. Seems more time is spent on suspension development.
Sadly only time will tell. [-o<
Can you quote where scarbs said this? And what indications do you have that the chimneys aren't working as intended?mclaren111 wrote:Scarbs said that McLaren is the only team that takes the internal hot compressed air forwards - chimneys at front of sidepods - and the radiators are not facing forwards. Ok well then don't say, as you did a few posts earlier, that the chimneys aren't working properly and need to be redesigned. People will take this information as fact and go with it sprouting more misinformationmclaren111 wrote:Scarbs mentioned it in an interview with Peter Windsor on The Racer's Edge. Can't remember which episode.
The chimneys itself might work as intended, but the package as a whole is awful !!!!! As we can see from the results !!!
